Russia's reputation is smooshed in the world.
Everyone will see them as thieves, barbarians, and thugs from this time forward.

I ready about this seizure the other day and have been wondering if we would have anything to say about it.

I think we’ll need to go to Moscow to get them. They might return them months later stripped off everything useful.

I will not post further on the Humvee topic after I type the following words... I fear we are now a paper tiger, and have seen no action to the contrary from our leadership.

From this time?
C’mon, MarMema.

You know that sole Russian carrier just deployed... we should take it over until the Humvees are returned.. sounds fair to me.

Sounds like a good idea! Again, they talk, talk and talk. This isn’t going to solve anything!

And you can bet those Russians are going to remember all of those demarches, demands, protests and words of warning from the U.S. of A. too.
I can see Putin now, they say he's shaking in fear uhhh, laughter?!!??
No, it simply cannot BE! I heard Condi the Piano Player lay down the law to the Russians, demanded they get out of Georgia, warned them about "serious consequences", WTF?!?!

I will not post further on the Humvee topic after I type the following words... I fear we are now a paper tiger, and have seen no action to the contrary from our leadership. We'll probably mediate with the U.N. and wind up agreeing to pay Russia $700 million each for their return in a "settlement" or something along those lines.

In the beginnings of the 90, when Soviet troops were leaving Poland my dad was a member of the city council in my city.
We used to have Soviet base in the city. After they had left it - my dad was to inspect it.
He was really shocked, what they did to all the buildings’ interior.
Everything - sinks, lavatory seats, even pipes and electric wires had been reaped of the walls.

A Russian newspaper said the vehicles contained sophisticated satellite communications gear and had been flown to Moscow to be examined.”
