Fine. If McCain picks Romney watch and see what happens. Biden is a much better pick than the others by far.

They all have rap sheets. Nobody that I know were wanting Biden “chosen”. In fact I have republican friends who would’ve voted for Biden for President over McCain.

I see that you have responded to me twice, though I haven't read your responses nor do I intend to. I stopped reading them a long time ago. None of the pundits or conservative leaders are trashy enough to attack Mormons or their religion, nor do they believe it's "right" to do so. They have too much character and too much class.

You and your merry band of cohorts offer nothing but destruction to the conservative and Christian cause, and you are the worst both have to offer. You are a blight on our movement, and a big one. What you all do on these threads is ugly, evil and wrong and you will one day be held to account for it, perhaps in this world but surely in the next.

BTW

Have I told you how much I value your wonderful posts...

As a Christian and a man of God, you minister to the rest of us...

As a great American, you inspire your fellow Americans...

and as a God fearing conservative, you are treasured by the rest of us conservatives...

The scars resulting with your many battles with the enemies of God, the anti-Christians, the enemies of our great nation and the enemies of conservatism, the liberals, look good on you...

:)

If you want to talk about religion, go to the religion area.

Elsie,
I hear you. But, he isn’t going to be Pastor-in-Chief, he would be Vice President. Reagan believed in astrology, but was the best President we have had in 100 years. Washington was a Mason, and if even a little of what has been written about them is true (for the upper echelons), then his beliefs where sprinkled with some really bad stuff. Would I prefer a strong grounded evangelical? Yes. Other than Huck, there aren’t a lot of them out there. Don’t think Huck is getting the nod, and Romney is okay. Not perfect, but he does bring some good things to the table as well (such as his business experience). He is at least verbally pro-life and pro-Israel. If it is McCain Romney, I’ll vote that way.

Bravo. I know many agree with you around here. We are the silent majority. Your post is a breath of fresh air — a well-reasoned and logical post amidst the dank cesspool of ignorance, paranoia, arrogance, boorishness and bigotry which infests these anti-Romney threads. You are right. It is a blight which brings down this website, our candidates and the whole conservative movement. Blech.

This is a political forum, not theological. What's more, you are spamming, and attacking someone's religion. I imagine you have personal attacks as well, but I'd have to read through your noxious posts to find them.

Isn't there some religion board you can go to, far, far away?

We all know that Mitt Romney is a Mormon. And most of us know by now from your posts how you feel about Mormonism.

Do not post your Mormon theological views on news threads - only in the Religion Forum. I've got better things to do on a Saturday than to mop up after you.

Thank you both... for trying to elevate the level of discussion here.

In my 10 years on FR, I can honestly say, I’ve never read a more disgusting thread.

I believe Romney would absolutely be the best VP choice for McCain. He’s young, energetic, smart, and accomplished.

Despite the kooky things said here, I don’t believe many Conservatives would abandon McCain because of Romney. I suspect, many Southern Conservatives voted against Romney in the primaries because: They had OTHER good options available. Will they abandon McCain to vote for Obama?

I doubt it. I don’t know many Republicans who have despised McCain more than I over the years... but, vs Obama? Are you kidding me? It’s a ‘no-brainer’.

Stick to political discussions on the News forum. If you want to criticize Mormonism, take it to the Religion forum.
