It’s the line of being sensible and fair and decent when it comes to politics, Elise. It’s not the fringe.

Cute, Elsie. Have any other fringe photos to share? On second thought, don’t. This was not necessary, and you know it.

“Halperin’s Romney “Two Sources” Veep post deleted”

Halperin post on the Time blod Two GOP sources say it’s Romney , has been deleted. The post is no longer found on The Page . This after >600 posts on the FR thread.

Romney’s Intrade VP contract promptly doubled with Halperin’s post. Will be interesting to see if it plummets.

“NO VEEPSTAKES NEWS OVERNIGHT…..

Obama getting ready to announce his decision, with Democratic sources continuing to say “Watch Biden.”

2 Republican sources say McCain has apparently settled on Romney as his pick, but no offer has been made.

And/but: NY Times: “People close to the campaign also floated a wild-card choice, Gen. David H. Petraeus, the top American commander in Iraq.”

Plus: Politico reports McCain will hold a major rally with Romney, Huckabee in St. Louis the Sunday before the GOP convention.”

I know. Did you see my reply above yours here and did you see my reply on that other thread you just mentioned? No further news. Nothing has changed.

Let the weeping, wailing and gnashing of teeth of the self-appointed “true Conservatives” begin. Legends in their own minds, really.

Gotcha.

It was a joke.

Perhaps you’re not familiar with the target of my attack - she’s obsessed with hating Mitt and Mormons.

Shallow?

Look - I’m a conservative.

Also - I don’t hate Mormons or gays.

Around here that appears to be disqualifier.

I’m not defending a label. I’m refusing to allow others to define me.

Put Rudy Giuliani on the Supreme Court and the era of Rudy McRomney will be a reality!

We can thank Hannity, Limbaugh and the rest of the beltway conservatives that have fooled themselves into thinking this RINO is a conservative for this.

From Christie Todd Whitman to Michael Bloomberg to Arnold Schwarzenegger, some people apparently never learn the lesson not to trust liberals that campaign as conservatives.

Christie Todd Whitman ...

Now there’s one that was a shocker...

At least with RINO Romney we know what we would get BEFORE and not after...

McCain got a great speech on being pro-life last Saturday...

If he chooses pro-abortion Romney, he’ll lose the confidence he got with the conservative base...

he wont be believable after that...

McCain must pick a REAL pro-life candidate...

Huckabee, like Romney, is not the ideal candidate, but he has some strengths. Unfortunately, his strengths are all down south or with conservative Christians, and McCain seems to have already won those areas. Just look at an electoral map.

He needs help in areas where he has gaps.

He has a money gap, he lacks a strong ground campaign, and he needs more electoral votes and the south is already his with the exception of Virginia.

He needs to solidify Virginia. Cantor of Virginia would be a good choice.

He needs another big state and Michigan is the biggest that is possibly in play.

Romney = Perfect. Photogenic, bright, charming, young, well-spoken, wealthy, and a possible Michigan-deliverer.
Also hass needed economic expertise. Liked by conservative base. Attended NRA annual convention.
BEST CHOICE

Ridge = Meathead

Libermann = Democrat social liberal and another old guy

Crist = Has problems. Social liberal

Huckleberry = Doesn’t deserve it after attacks on Mormonism
Social liberal

Pawlenty = Too unknown

Palin = good choice but not well know enough

Jindal = Presidential timber for the future
