Actually that’s not the first time RomneyBots have said Romney had been “prophecised” to win...

They were saying it during the primaries...

They went underground when Romney lost to McCain...

Eric Cantor would be a great choice but how would some Mormon supporters feel about that? They don’t exactly hold Jews in high regard. And we have to be very careful to not offend bigots.

I’m aware of those statements.

Are you saying that you support government discrimination against gays?

When Eric Cantor was first mentioned as VP, the RomneyBots were quiet for about a week...

The Flying Inmans all agreed on Eric,...

But NO RomneyBot has been pleased with the idea...

Isnt that just the oddest thing ????

You’re disgusting and have no clue about the issues apparently. The Employment Non-Discrimination Act and other similar proposed and enacted state laws have nothing to do with government discrimination. They have to do with the right of private employers to consider sexual orientation when hiring and firing. If the ENDA were passed, people would be required to not discriminate by sexual orientation in hiring decisions. Religious companies and businesses would quite possibly be forced to hire gays, even if doing so conflicts with their faith.

Your attempt to smear me by asking me if I support government discrimination against gays was both vapid and pathetic. I would expect nothing less from you.

WHOA!

In no way was I attempting to smear you.

I was honestly asking a simple question.

Sheesh.

And stop changing the subject.

Why did Mitt flop?

Why did he oppose don’t ask don’t tell and push for openly gay people to be allowed to serve in the military, but is against that now?

It’s obviously political convenience. Which is fine-politicians do that.

But don’t hold Mitt up as some shining example of Mormon goodness and brilliance and wholesome family values. He is a former pro-abort to the max. Aren’t Mormons supposed to be pro-life? Mitt has been a Mormon his whole life and he supported Roe v Wade for over 30 years, until it became politically inconvenient for him to do so.

The guy is a slickster- just like Bill Clinton. Eat it up Scarchin.

I am on one.

Here’s your quote:

“I lived in MA while he was Gov. He’s no liberal. He was dealing with a wacko legislature and he did pretty damn well.”

He said in the gubernatorial debate in the fall of 2002 that he supported abortion rights. He also said that he supported gay rights.

What changed between 2002 and 2005?

Okay -

Regarding abortion - that’s a simple one. He say’s now that he was wrong and that he changed his mind. I believe him. You don’t. I would strongly, however, disagree with your characterization of him as “pro-abort” at worst he may have been pro-choice. There’s a huge difference there. Read some hardcore feminist writers if you don’t believe me.

As far as gay rights go, I’m for gay rights as I’m for anyone else’s rights. I inferring that you favor legalizing drugs. Some folks -such as myself - might personally, morally, and civically oppose that. In the area of gay marriage I think the truly conservative position is “Who cares?” even though I may personally not think it’s a good idea.

I think that private entities should be able to discriminate to the max - no blacks, no Jews etc. I would find it repugnant, but I respect the rights of private business and would expect the free market to “discipline” them.

Scarchin,

Are you a degenerate homophile?

Of course the government should discriminate against gays.

It should not allow gays in the military or to teach in grade schools.

It should not condone homosexual relationships by giving government approval in the form of a marriage license.

Other than that they should have all other rights and be left alone.

They should be tolerated not celebrated or elevated to the same public moral esteem as heterosexuals.
