That’s been my position since the day Mitt dropped out after being screwed by the freakish Huckster.

Where was all the energy for the other candidates who lost? Let’s be fair Romney had some energy around him. You don’t raise $8 mil in a phone-a-thon without some energy.

    Disappointing is seeing FReepers defending.
If you don’t like hearing the truth about Romney -— don’t read my posts.

And where will Romney be on abortion, 5-10 years down the road? Hey, Reagan Man, when it was time for the real Reagan to choose a Veep, didn't he choose a Veep who had recently moved to the Pro-Life position, and a lot more recently than had Romney? So, you know better than Reagan? No, I didn't think so.

Now I’ve seen it all. An ‘07 FReeper calling a ‘99 FReeper a troll. Just wow.
Yawn.

All of this is starting to get old real quick. Romney has been thoroughly vetted and his record and religion scrutinized under a Hubble telescope. If the man has realized he was wrong on abortion and reached out to conservatives in the primaries, and his religion is simply an x-variable to the point of being a non-factor, then I don’t understand what the fuss is. Romney, in my opinion, would be a fool to be a liberal again. Granted, I’m holding out faint hope McCain chooses a staunch conservative, but if it’s Romney, it’s still not the end of the world. Not only would McCain-Romney wipe the floor with Obama and whoever he chooses, but some GOP seats in Congress would be salvaged as well.

To: Norman Bates
Geez. You may have a problem with Tom Coburn.
I like him. He’s a good conservative.

Romney would be great in the debates
against whomever the democrats select.

"Because people don't vote for the VP. Only political junkies and the media really even care."

That is sometimes true ... unless, of course, it's a Republican VP candidate.
This one has to be rested, ready and have some electoral clout .

Romney has a closet full of skeletons.
FReepers have been exposing his shortcomings for the last year and half.
Where you been?

Yes he assumed it twice. No he didn't. He assumed it once and was re-elected. Get a clue.

To: Reagan Man
BTW Coburn endorsed McCain at a time when it wasn’t clear McCain would win and it was clear it wouldn’t be popular among some on the right. Go Tom.

This is about McCain choosing Romney.
Bush41 was a well known moderate in 1980.
Romney is nothing but a newcomer to the conservative cause and so far, I’m not impressed.
