That according to Sameer Reddy (pictured at right, photo via Newsweek) Judging by Sameer's picture the proper uniform would be:

Preppy is a look but Polo was going for the 1930's look too. I thought everyone looked cool, clean, crisp and respectful. I watched the ceremony and was hoping we weren't gonna straggle out like hobos wearing sweatsuits. We looked good.
I think this guy, who appears Indian, which actually has a caste system, is just another liberal/anti American puke. They get bolder when they think they are gonna win an election.

Sameer Reddy isnt even an American I did a brief Google search and theres nothing to suggest that he isnt/is American. Where did you get his citizenship info from?
Well, he was born in Hyderabad, India, and he is an Indian cinematographer. Doubt that he's a US citizen.

My father loved Brooks Brothers, Orvis and JoS A Banks. My husband’s a tech geek and not much of a clothes horse. (I love him anyway) :) Our son is definitely his grandfather’s grandson.

Perhaps he should have designed the line for the Olympic team.

Sameer needs to quit hatin’ on the WASPS, including honorary uber-WASP, Ralph Lauren!

One thing about this year’s Olympic uniforms is their resemblance to the uniforms the Chinese teams wore at the 1984 Olympics. I saw video of their march-in, on an NBC show about the politics of the Olympics. The point was that because the Chinese showed up in LA after the USSR decided to boycott, they effectively kept the Olympices from becoming a totally political east/west divided event, which would have really killed the whole concept of Olympics.
I wonder if the Ralph Lauren team knew about the 1984 uniforms?

I don’t know anything about the 84 Chinese uniforms, but I do know that this nautical rendition is pure Lauren. The polo ponies should not have been so obvious, however, on the shirts.

I don’t live in India...there are too many people there and I would be in a very low caste, probably a blogger.
Sorry if taking a dump in the Ganges was insulting...

Yawn, just another “needs to be noticed” writer saying the outrageous for attention. I’m sure his own looks are everything to him.

In my office of 15 people there are a total of seven (7) male minorities — including Asians, blacks, and Hispanics. Every one of them puts me to shame when it comes to their taste in clothing. LOL.

Isn’t WASP a little redundant? Wouldn’t being Anglo-Saxon automatically make one white?
