Will Warren throw softballs on the issue of abortion?
Will he give both candidates free passes?
Will this be an attempt to minimize the lives of the unborn while giving higher priority of less urgent social issues?
Obama, McCain, and Rick Warren - softball questions and easy passes?
I wonder if Obama got the questions beforehand? I guess we will find out
Anyone know if this will be streamed online anywhere? I don’t have cable an am unable to watch it. Thanks.
Oh good, Bill Sammon with be one of the pundits for FOX.
From google, “To view this live streaming video you will need the Flash Plugin. ... In 1980, Warren and his wife Kay founded Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, CA. ...

I tried it, won’t load, probably getting hammered.
They will use the interview format with the candidates. Identical questions will be asked. Obama will go first and McCain will not hear his answers.
Good line: “We believe in the separation of church and state, but not the separation of faith in politics.”
Political 21/
Liberals are demons. No need to “demonize” them.
I'm not sure that getting hammered will help you improve the reception. ;-)
yeah, the site is seriously slashdotted.
The more I see him the more arrogant a bastard he seems.
McCain is such an idiot to take part in this Obama love-fest. Rick Warren is a total phony who has been saying nice things about Obama for months. McCain appearing here only serves to elevate interest in Obama’s so-called “Christian faith”. This can only help Obama.
First topic for Obama is “leadership”. Who are the wisest 3 people in your life and who will you rely on in your administration?
1. Michelle his wife, wise/honest. Someone who can get up in my face and say “boy you screwed that one up”
2. Grandmother, never went to college, worked on bomber line during WWII, secretary,
Not restrict himself th 3 people in his administration, sam nunn dick lugar/forign policy/ Teddy K and tom Colburn for domestic. Needs a table where lots of views are present, needs to ask lots of Questions.
I guarantee you Obama will not get a question about why he as an Illinois state senator voted three times in favor of infanticide.
I’m equally sure he won’t be asked about his use of heavy drugs in college and his advocacy of legalizing marijuana when he ran for the U.S. Senate in 2004.
I honestly believe this “forum” is more about Rick Warren trying to seek attention for himself. He’s not exactly a “humble man of God.”
Obama punts the first question
First question has to do with leadership.
He asks Obama who are the wisest people he knows.
Obama answers that his wife is wise and also honest. Of course. And his grandmother who is extraordinary person and is very common sense person. Mentions Sam Nunn, Dick Lugar. Wants alot of different points of view.
I don't expect him to be anymore politically savvy than many other pastors who's careers have focused on rescue missions. Approximately two thirds of the lay leadership comes from their twelves step program, which works with addicts, drunkards, prostitutes, rape and incest victims, people with eating disorders, etc.
And they have done it for decades sans government money.
To expect that these people will also all be politically astute is a bit farcical.
