Press conference scheduled for 2:30 pm central time.
Prayers for him and his family.
Or that the shooter just paid $1,250 for a $245 brake job?
Ditto
That’s ironic, cuz I was just wondering about him focusing on one victim rather than an entire group of people...well, that just squashed my speculations. He sounds mad at God and his boss?
KARN Radio just said a Baptist Convention Headquarters seven blocks away reported an incident with a gunman shortly before the Chairman was shot. He was upset because he just lost his job.
Probably not a headquarters worker, as the office staff would have known him. Perhaps an employee of one of Gwatney’s Car Dealerships??
Sounds like that may have triggered the attack.
Your post seems to back up this theory.
Pelosi's fault.
a comment on a Little Rock TV website: What the rumors are saying is that the shooter was laid off from Gwatney Chevrolet,
This story is related to Hillary, HOW?
I think this was the victims business.
Somebody auditioning for her staff?
This crucial point seems to be lost on you, but NO ONE DIED when R HQs were vandalized.
You continue to compare property damage/destruction with cold blooded murder.
Police may have picked up the shooter’s trail because he threatened someone with a gun nearby. Reports were that a man with a gun confronted a building manager in the Arkansas Baptist State Convention office building a few blocks east of Democratic headquarters and said he’d lost his job. He pointed the gun, but didn’t shoot. He fled in a vehicle whose description was reported to police.
Gwatney was an executive in a car dealership group, a business in which employment changes are not uncommon. Rumors immediately arose that the shooter might have been a disgruntled former employee of the Gwatney Chevrolet dealership in Jacksonville.
Well that seals it then ... Nancy Pelosi’s fault.
The high oil prices are killing our economy; no one is buying Chevy’s because they can’t afford to fill the gas-tank; this guy looses his job because there’s not enough work at the struggling Chevy dealership; perp goes out and finds/shoots the owner. If only Nancy had let drilling come up for a vote, instead of callously going on vacation.
</sarcasm> (makes just as much sense as trying to blame Rush, Sean, Savage, Boortz, Levine, etc.)
Sounds like disgruntled ex employee to me, but we will have to wait and see.
Prayers for Mr.Gwatney.
"In addition to being state Democratic Party chairman, Gwatney is also CEO of Gwatney Chevrolet in Jacksonville. He has a background in banking, having been an executive vice president with First National Bank in Jacksonville, formerly owned by his family."
"Gwatney entered the state Senate in 1993 at age 33. Term limits ended his career in the state Legislature in 2003. During his last legislative session, he led efforts to reform state ethics rules, handle legislative redistricting and promote economic development. He was among Arkansas Business' first "40 Under 40" honorees."

Wow. I’ve been following this topic both here and on DU (for educational purposes). Those retards *really* want this to be connected in some way to talk radio.
Sheesh.
Here’s hoping the victim lives and the bad guy doesn’t.
