I just re-listened to the statement via
aphid's link in post #283.
I am surprised that the news media are not all over this. There was a gaffe. I thought I heard it during the live feed. Re-listening, I did hear it...
Bush: "...now it appears that an effort may be underway to depose Russia's duly elected government..."
I am sure President Bush meant to say "...depose Georgia's duly elected government..."

You don't know what the hell you are talking about, do you?
Here are the facts about the Georgian religious make up:
Orthodox Christian 83.9% (Christian)
Armenian-Gregorian 3.9%, (Christian)
Catholic 0.8% (Christian)
Muslim 9.9% (Islam)
Other 0.8%
None 0.7%
So that's 89.6% Christian bucko...not what you would call, and I quote you now, "just another Militant Muslim state".
So, based on these patently ignorant Bravo Sierra comments, you should now be on board with DEFEDNING Georgia because they are predominantly a Christian nation, right?
Better go back to your planners and hash through this again.

Well, there’s a guy named George in the “White”house. Change one little letter in “house” and you have “horse”. Let’s ask.

Georgia is Christian?? So what is the Problem??

I do believe that once Putin is sure we will do nothing, the other former satellite countries will have good reason to fear his next move. It's much more dire than just fear. The reality is that all the former soviet republic's are counting on US and our NATO to protect them and keep Russia at arms length.
If we fail here, like we did the the others in recent history, it will all collapse.
All of it!

Yes, we are on the verge of watching the dominoes go over. If Russia controls all the oil and is willing to use force on top of it . . . .
We have to back them down and it sounds as though Bush knows it. The only thing is that without getting into a shooting war, I am not sure how many options we have.
The Europeans would have an awfully cold winter without Russian oil.
If Europe turns tail, where we would even put our planes?
Remember what happened when Reagan asked for permission to cross France and Spain in order to carry out a limited retaliatory strike against Libya?

See my post 302. This individual has been shilling for the Russians and against the Georgians all over this thread and really stepped in it up to their eye brows with that comment.

Someone needs to sit you down and go over a few things.
Start first by reading the current threads.
I'm not talkin about the articles, I'm talking about the replies from those in the know.
Start with mine!
My family immigrated from there in 1921, during the last Russian invasion with the same bullshit pretenses to justify it.
They have a well worn playbook, and if you follow it closely enough, you will know what they will be doing next and have already planned for.

How about...all of it. When it's 89.7% christian across the whole nation, my guess is that any area that is predominantly Muslim is very limited...like to individual housholds and small neighborhoods or villages...and very few of those.
You revealed yourself and your agenda to everybody on this thread with that comment and you are not going to be able to dance out of it now that you have been called on it.

Oh so wrong you are young grasshopper.
There are quite a number of things that can (and will) be done. Some you will see, and some you won’t. And we are quite a long ways away from talking about atomic weapons.
To: Jeff Head; egb18delta
For a functioning adult, the flag would have been tip-off enough. Yet the foolish troll still keeps trying to sell them as Muslim terrorists.
