I do believe that once Putin is sure we will do nothing, the other former satellite countries will have good reason to fear his next move.

It's much more dire than just fear. The reality is that all the former soviet republic's are counting on US and our NATO to protect them and keep Russia at arms length.

If we fail here, like we did the the others in recent history, it will all collapse.
