McCain, Obama Criticize Moscow
The Moscow Times ^ | 11 August 2008 | News

U.S. presidential candidates Barack Obama and John McCain criticized Russia's military activity in Georgia on Saturday, calling for Moscow to withdraw its forces and the international community to facilitate peace talks.

McCain said he spoke to Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili on Saturday, their second conversation since the crisis erupted. Obama, on vacation in Hawaii, said he had also spoken to Saakashvili and U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.

McCain, an outspoken critic of Moscow, said it was clear that the situation in Georgia was dire. "Tensions and hostilities between Georgians and Ossetians are in no way justification for Russian troops crossing an internationally recognized border," he said.

Obama called for direct talks among all sides and said the United States, the UN Security Council and other parties should try to help bring about a peaceful resolution. "I condemn Russia's aggressive actions and reiterate my call for an immediate cease-fire," Obama said.

You know its funny how the left is virtually silent on this, there is NO outrage at all. After all the BS on the US invading Iraq “unjustly” they say nothing. I guess when the Commies do it the left just wants to look at their “good intentions” not their brutal methods. Won’t be until the commies are controlling America and the American Left’s rights are stepped on until they start speaking out!

"I condemn Russia's aggressive actions and reiterate my call for an immediate cease-fire," Obama said. That oughta do it. Vlad the Dominator is shakin' in his shoes now. Yuckin' it up with his homeboys in Hawaii and discussing old times over who-knows what while the world goes to heck in a handbasket. How does Obama think, or does he think anybody is listening to him. I hope Bush has enough time to get a handle on this before he leaves office... probably not, though. McCain... McCain... McCain! Get ready, man. You got your work cut out.

“Obama, on vacation in Hawaii, said he had also spoken to Saakashvili and U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.”

The Left is silent, except for BHO, of course - once again, he’s saying “me too, me too” - he had “also” spoken to Saakashvili - oh, and throw in Condi Rice.

He’s so lame - I mean vain :-)))

“How did Barrack undo his Soetoro adoption and name change?”

He didn’t. According to the book Obama Nation by Dr. Corsi, he went back to Hawaii around 1972 time frame to attend Punahou School, thanks to grandparents Dunham’s pull. Around this time he reverted to using ‘Obama.’ However, he may have started using it without anyone going through the motion of legally ‘adopting’ him. A lot of this man’s life is full of fabrication, I tell you.

Obama Chamberlain called for direct talks among all sides and said the United States, the UN Security Council League of Nations and other parties should try to help bring about a peaceful resolution. "I condemn Russia's Germany's aggressive actions and reiterate my call for an immediate cease-fire," Obama Chamberlain said.

The 1940 2008 song "God Bless you Mr Chamberlain Obama" expresses support : God bless you, Mr Chamberlain Obama, we're all mighty proud of you. You look swell holding your umbrella, all the world loves a wonderful fellow...

Different clothes, same fellow underneath...

Yeah, Baraq, that'll work (doofus!); inasmuch as Russia has a permanent veto on the Security Council. Idiot.

On the conrary the left would love it if Russia were to occupy and control the United States. Their dream of a Soviet style communist "utopia" would be realized at last.

Geostrategic location, seperating Russia from Iran/Turkey and the Caspian from the Black sea. Also the pipeline to Turkey/Israel/Europe leading through Georgia.

In short... we are interested in Georgia for the same reason Russia is.
