"Joe Lieberman, the former Democratic vice-presidential nominee who has endorsed John McCain, is being vetted as a potential running mate for the Republican presidential hopeful, according to an adviser to Mr McCain’s campaign."

"Conservatives would be pissed as hell – I think you would have a revolt, but sometimes John does what John wants to do,” the McCain adviser said.

Another pejorative attack on conservatives. Have you always hated rightwingers so much?

The liberal establishment has always opposed conservatives like Reagan and FReepers like myself.

Gee...a few posts ago, you thought I was a Libertarian...now I'm part of the liberal establishment? LOL!

I'm sure you'll be using pejoratives to label conservatives as extremists in another 10 years.

You mean like [too] many in here flagrantly use the term "Muzzies" to label all one billion Muslims as blood thirsty jihadists?

I said further up the thread that it's a minority of Conservatives that give the rest of us a bad image. Just like Islam has to deal with.

Getting back on topic....McCain-Lieberman should be the perfect ticket to cancel out all the 3rd Party voters and overall abstainers in 90 days...for all the reasons I've stated above.

I don't hate right-winger....as I consider myself one of them.

Don't put words into my mouth.

You are so transparent, RR.

“Now I thought Lieberman has already said he is not interested.”

Not sure if Lieberman has said anything, but the article is dated today.

re: This man has very large ones. He insults the hell out of me as a conservative, gives my President a kick in the ass at all opportunities, fauns over the MSM, who will slit his throat at the earliest opportunity, takes immense pride in working with the disloyal opposition, and has the stones to ask me for money.)))

The stones don't look large to me. After all, when you snailmail someone it's practically a secret. He disses us in public, but asks us for money when the MSM is not looking.

Moderate-centrism covers a whole lot of political territory, including liberalism and libertarianism.

>>>>>You mean like [too] many in here flagrantly use the term "Muzzies" to label all one billion Muslims as blood thirsty jihadists?

When its all said and done, the Nation of Islam, the House of Saud and all the rich sheiks in the world, are all enemies of America. IMO, most Muslim's believe that America is evil and want to see death to all the infidels. The Prophet Mohammad said so. Read the Koran and get informed.

>>>>>... McCain-Lieberman should be the perfect ticket...

Thanks for making my case. You can't help yourself when it comes to slamming conservatism. LOL

Well, EV...you can't win the lottery unless you buy a ticket.

Yeah. And a conservative can't win when the game is rigged for liberals, even if they do "buy a ticket."

So, it's time for a new game. One that conservatives control.

Weird, my post got truncated. Try again.

Fine then. I have been, reluctantly, been planning on voting for McCain, but with your promise that he will put me to my (political) death, I will never vote for the SOB!

With Liberman on the ticket, I think it gives those disenfranchised Clinton supporters more of a reason to vote for MCCain. Now will that gain offset the loss of the conservatives who stay home? It would be interesting to see the numbers.

This is a very good point - McCain wasted no time in going after Hillary supporters after she dropped out - his website had a huge banner up welcoming them within hours of her dropping out.

McCain might very well be able to win with Hillary supporters making up for Conservatives who stay home or vote 3rd party.

Remember....Lieberman took on the RAT Party and kicked their ass...pun intended. He won re-election as an INDY.

McCain has been massaging his ‘Maverick’ moniker by pissing off the EXTREME Right....for years....and he’s the nominee.

They are the right people at the right time in our nation’s history to stop our march toward MARXIST SOCIALISM.

For once the populace if fed the drug of giveaways and freebies...they will become addicted.

Is that what you want for our country?

Lieberman ‘on McCain short-list’,

Could have sworn the headline said "Lieberman 'on McCain short-bus'.

"Pretty much sums up the spoiled, arrogant, whimsical admiral's son."

He's the only guy I ever heard of who wrecked three planes, started a fire causing our own men to die, and was still considered a hero after being shot down.

I have bought many of her books on Amazon and Alibris.

If you want to read her books, and can’t find her, I will send you some. My hubby reads her over and over.

He would die if her books weren’t returned! LOL

She has people, especially libs, nailed to a TEE as far back as 50 years ago! ! LOL

Author was born in England and came here as a child. Really an interesting story.

Nothing you see now is any different than 50 years ago. Mind boggling.

"...McCain-Lieberman should be the perfect ticket to cancel out all the 3rd Party voters..."

It should also be the perfect ticket to permanently alienate the conservative wing and destroy the GOP forever. What will Congress look like after such a "victory"? If America votes this way, they deserve what they get.

Thank you, I’ll see what I can find & let you know.

I know what you mean by people not returning books. I’m an antique dealer & have a good selection of reference books, I’ve lent several of my favorites to friends & have never seen them again. I hate that!

McCain/Feingold, McCain/Kennedy, McCain/Lieberman, McCain/Kerry, McCain/Biden, (etc)...
Those who opposed these LIBERAL proposals are all "EXTREME Right"?

Give me a break, DCPatriot. Opposing assaults on free speech, global warming nonsense, and open borders are not "extreme" positions.

You can embrace all of those Hillary supporters, if you like. One has to wonder why you'd stick around FreeRepublic if that is the kind of "conservative" you appreciate.
