Barack Obama released a television advertisement Wednesday that questions John McCain's claims to be a "maverick," and he charged in a campaign appearance that the Republican displays independence only when it suits him politically.
Obama aides said Democratic hand-wringing about polls showing that the presidential race remains tight had nothing to do with the volleys.
"We are not going to base our campaign on the concerns of so-called campaign strategists on cable TV," spokesman Bill Burton said.

A little heat coming from both left and right, eh? The affirmative action candidate never expected a real contest - rather a coronation to celebrate his deserving the Presidency based on skin color.

The MSM is trying their darnest to keep giving him the free ride but it looks like McCain has found a way around the MSM firewall.

Seems like another bad attempt by Obama. People have watched John McCain fight against GWB and the GOP for years (unfortunately).
A thirty second commercial isn't going to erase all that from their memories.

It seems like Hillary's chief weakness was that she thought she was inevitable and may not have planned sufficiently for a continued fight after Super Tuesday.
I'm thinking that one of Obama weaknesses (he has many) is that he thinks he is inevitable and is just shocked that anyone is trying to block his coronation -- especially some old white guy.
Arrogance is a major component of all Leftwing personalities.

John McCain should run ads saying that Obama is afraid to debate him in town hall settings, because he’s afraid to take unscripted questions from the American people.

It's also come to the realization of people that President Bush was mostly right on the energy policy that we need to drill and McCain's switch to that position sounds genuine whereas Obama’s sounds like the pandering it is.
The average person is paying $2500 more for gas per year than they were 2 years ago but Obama wants to hand out $1000 and it just isn't flying with the people because there's no solution that comes with it.

I’ve seen the ad. I thought it was for McCain until it said vote for Obuma at the end. These guys are morons.
To: ClearCase_guy
the guy is definitely arrogant. The examples are endless.
Also, you can’t pin the guy down. Everyone knows he’s liberal and left wing, yet ask him if he is and he’ll deny it.

How Obama is reacting is a window into how he'll address threats against the U.S.:
whining, pouting, stern looks, alleged "self-deprecating" humor, etc.
Being a momma's BOY, he'll never be able to fight like a man.

More DBM bullsht.
NObama will go on vacation next week... and the in-the-tank-media will be right there along side of him throwing the softball questions. And if anyone gives him REAL questions... he'll simply state he's on vacation and will end the discussion. This will end up like his European tour... all flotsam... and a respite from his recent drop in the polls.

Obama’s team seems to think that President Bush's low poll ratings are from Democrats but the fact about it is it's mostly Conservatives that have been left with a bad taste in their mouth concerning the never-ending spending and Immigration, the same issues that hurts Obama and McCain. The problem for Obama is that the Conservatives aren't going to switch to him and will once again have to take a chance with McCain.

I’m reading Corsi’s book, actually listening to him read it, and it’s great. I can’t wait to get up in the morning to listen to it in the car on the way to work.
Where Kerry’s Unfit for Command was mainly the Swift Boat thing, this comes at you from several angles.
This guy is not just an empty suit. His manager Axelrod knows this, and therefore has run a campaign based on the guy’s persona. His personality, his image etc. IT will NOT be run on issues, therefore, he will NOT let his candidate debate McCain one on one...
But even in the arena of image, Obama is appearing like a wimp.
He bowls a 40, he rides a bike with a dopy helmet going 2 MPH, he brags that he can lift 70lb bar bells, which he can’t do, in fact very few can do.
