Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi will be taking questions online at The Washington Post this afternoon at 3 p.m. as part of her tour promoting her new book, Know Your Power, A Message to America's Daughters.

The questions are screened by The Post's moderator and those that are forwarded to Pelosi can be passed over by her in private.
The Post blurb says that in addition to the book she'll be talking about "the current political scene."

I can’t believe that was real. I really can’t. Someone please tell me how that raises esteem for women? I love and admire women and many I know personally can run rings around any man alive intellectually. But that was embarrassingly pathetic. It was just Valley Girl blather both in questions selected and particularly in Pelosi’s answers. She is stunningly juvenile.
There is no way in hell she’ll take any questions about shutting down congress. If she does she’ll just give the talking points of “Bush’s failed energy policy” or “I’m trying to save the planet”.
Pelosi is not a representative of The People, she is a TYRANT over The People and should be dealt with accordingly.
I’m shocked (SHOCKED!) that my question wasn’t selected:
“Madame Speaker: In the 18 months you’ve been Speaker, Americans have seen the per-gallon price of gasoline increase by $1.70 (74%), due to increased global demand with a near-stagnant supply. Why then do you believe that that increasing supply through new domestic production would reduce prices by only pennies over 10 years, and despite experts statements that new production wells could be on-line in as little as 18 months?”
But of course this imbecile, who is only voted into office by the partial birdbrain population of a City that bordering on a sewer, is perfectly justified in making petty ad hominem attacks on the President of the United States.
By now Pelosi or her ‘staff’ have already read this thread - preparing for her honest answers har har !

I would like to know how much oil (in dollars) Nancy’s 757 is costing the taxpayers? I want to know how SHE PERSONALLY is decreasing her ADDICTION to oil? Why can’t she travel in a smaller way?
Why is the word “POWER” the biggest word on the front of her book?

We all know that the Democrats are more interested in demonizing the oil companies than finding a means to reduce gasoline prices. They seem to feel that if we simply ignore new sources of oil that some alternative energy source may emerge more rapidly. They are delusional, but I see that some of them, including Obama, may just now be seeing the light.
If you’re using those really big kindergarten crayons and write real big you can. ;)

If I may bother you by asking.
It takes a huge lot to get on my bad side.
A bit over a dozen fiercely hostile Roman Catholic posters in the Rel Forum are outrageously mean spirited, super insulting etc. etc. etc. relentlessly for years now . . . without justification, really—particularly considering their own behavior—and I still care for them and pray for them and laugh at their craziness. Though they think I’m a spawn of satan.
Anyway—as I’ve often said to students and counseling clients . . . IF YOU CHRONICALLY CAME AT ME WITH A CHAIN SAW—I might eventually have to distance myself from you but I’d still care and still pray for you. Just the way I am. Maybe it’s a result of praying most of my 61 years to be able to love like Jesus loves.
I wouldn’t exactly encourage folks to pray for that casually, though. It’s kind of like praying for patience, wisdom and humility. The school resulting in such is worse than NAVY SEAL traning.
