I come from a long line of oil people, and have been aware of the energy problem all of my life.

My grandfather owned active oil lease's in the early twenties. He walked to work because show leather was cheaper than gas.

No! not giving up, nor unsupportive, just disgusted with our Reps.

Your timing and choice of words run counter to your desires. Just when there is momentum, due to changing facts on the ground, you pour cold water. Now is the time to ENCOURAGE them and their supporters.

You know, the surge in Iraq was a little late in coming too. Did you say "TOO LITTLE TOO LATE?"

I urge you to reflect on how your words affect what you want to see happen. You're hurting your own cause by being so negative. It's pointless. What do you expect to accomplish?

I hear you... for a long time I think we have all been “disgusted” with our reps. Or at least most of them. Which is why this is such an energizing and good thing.
