Hmm, OK. I’ll read the Constitution, but are you sure you’re right?

I was just reporting what was explained by our own Republican heroes yesterday from the House on C-Span... that Pelosi can gavel a special session. I certainly didn’t make that up.

I didn't say you made anything up, but the way I read the constitution, the President is the one who holds the power to adjourn if a special session is called, I also read it to say that he doesn't need the Speaker's consent to do so, otherwise why give him the power to call a special session, if he had to ask permission it wouldn't be "calling" a special session it would be asking the speaker to call one.

This is the way it was taught to me back in 8th grade and senior civics classes back in the 1950s, I realize we don't teach government any more because the communists are afraid we will learn how our government is supposed to work, and I could be wrong, but I don't think so. Maybe I will do a search and find the relevant article. Didn't mean to upset you and I certainly didn't mean to imply you were lying or making things up.
