When Barack Obama started his long quest for the White House, he presented himself as a post racial candidate, as a man who transcended race, unlike previous African American Presidential candidates such as Jesse Jackson. This made his candidacy compelling to many.
Toward the end of burnishing his credentials as a post racial candidate and as an agent of racial healing, Barack Obama made a speech in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, last March in which he not only acknowledged the pain and fears of all races, but called for racial reconciliation and working together for a common purpose. This was the Barack Obama that caused many, especially young people, to rally to his cause and to make him the presumptive Democratic nominee for President.
There is, unfortunately, another side to Barack Obama and race that is far less uplifting. Former President Bill Clinton who, whatever else he is, is no racist, claims to have first noticed this. Bill Clinton had dismissed Barack Obama's primary win in South Carolina, comparing it to similar wins in that state by Jesse Jackson in 1984 and 1988. Barack Obama's surrogates hinted that Clinton's remarks were racially motivated. Bill Clinton responded to a Philadelphia radio station that, "They had played the race card on me."
In June, having secured the nomination, Barack Obama turned his attention to John McCain and the Republicans, suggesting that they would use racist tactics to try to derail his candidacy. At a fund raiser in Jacksonville, Barack Obama said, ""They're going to try to make you afraid of me. He's young and inexperienced and he's got a funny name. And did I mention he's black?"

“Former President Bill Clinton who, whatever else he is, is no racist..”
Yeah, panders to race hustlers, that faux headquarters in Harlem, plays the saxophone, redistributes honestly earned white income to non-working blacks...
He be no racist..
The truth.
i hope he continues.
it’s going to boomerang on him!
This from the lips of a US presdiential candidate?
WAKE UP AMERICA!!!
It's the only card he's got!
If he couldn't get away with calling himself black (which he isn't) he would just be John Kerry all over again without the Purple Hearts.
But....but....it’s OK for him to do it......because......he’s special. He is “the ONE who we’ve been waiting for.” LOL
Don’t you love the third person, “We’re the ones we’ve been waiting for”? What a doofus.
They live in a world of make-believe. They try to make people believe they are for every individual, race and creed in this country and in the world. But truly they are only for themselves. They are pandering to the black race but like jackson, shartpon and the rest of those racist pigs the only time they would even speak to one of the poor downtrodden masses would be to get the vote.
I never thought I would say this out-loud but I'd much rather have hilliary as president(man that makes me sick)than this man.
Can you imagine obamaboy and supermad girl in the whitehouse. And no that is not a racist comment it is a policy comment.
His policies suck!! Just say no to this race baiting socialist and his mad wife.
I believe that Senator Obama is a racist....or else he needs to see a shrink for a period of time.
Why would BC be upset if OBH blows the election? He WANTS OBH to blow it. Hellary in 2012!!! That’s the ticket!!!!
BTW, did anyone here ever imagine the day that Free Republic people might ever consider Hellary a patriot who would do no damage to the country as opposed to OBH????
(Despite the Chinese stuff - campaign $$$$, missile tech tranfers, etc., - in the 90’s?)

"Like all black men, I know the sting of racist white America. An America filled with hatred against minorities, where whites cling to religion and guns in their hysteric fear of socialism."
"America must get beyond issues of race, but this is only possible if the racist white majority admits its racist tendencies and votes for me, the One. The One who will finally get beyond race."
Hear, hear.
The problem with the race card is that Obe’s not from da ‘hood.
