It’s too hard to keep up with which Al-Masri it is. I did a google image search and it still isn’t clear.

To anyone who may say this means nothing as they do not fear death: They seem to fear something, as they’ve been hiding for years.

Is this the same air strike that is supposed to have at least wounded Zawahiri, or is this a different strike.

Maybe we are making the skies over the Tribal Areas black with Predators....about time!

Built in Mississippi

Where to start? My middle brother is a skinny little punk. He was, until he retired, an exceptional welder. He had to crawl into every tight compartment on those subs because he was such a runt. Boy oh boy did he bitch about that. LOL

My older brother was in electronics so had it much better. It pays to have a good education vs wild teenage years. LOL! Both brothers have since retired from Chevron.

It is Ingall's Ave that runs east and west; it crosses Market St.

The USS Vincennes (CG-49) shot down the airliner. I was on vacation in Washington D.C. that weekend. Interesting times. It was also built at Ingall's

The outfit that services the huge jack-up rigs now days is not a part of NG. I believe it was during the Carter years Ingall's was building rail cars and servicing rigs just to keep their lights on. Those were some tough times.

The east bank yard has been closed for years. All work in now done on the West bank yard. NG just delivered a new Coast Cutter and is about finished with LHD-8

You said you did some shooting after Katrina. Are you a photographer?

Wow, what great information! Thanks so much for taking the time to do this. Although I was born in Tampa, and live here now, the area from St. Elmo, AL, down to Gautier is my 'home'. We moved to Grand Bay in 1958 when dad went to work as a ship fitter for Ingall's. The first several months he was working there he drove back and forth from Pascagoula to Tampa every weekend. He would leave there when the whistle blew on Fri. and be here by a little after 1 AM as I recall. There was no I-10 in those days, just Hwy 90 through all those podunk towns like Two Egg and Chipley. What a miserable trip. I don't know how he did it. He would just smile and say you do what you have to. Yes, am a full time freelance shooter. It's a tough way to make a living, always has been, but I love it and I keep at it. Lotsa 'stuff' there. I shoot all sorts of things.

I will look for the Katrina file. I shot those when I was with the newspaper and all that has been archived so it will take a bit for me find it.

My sister still lives in Mobile. I have bunches of neices and nephews in Grand Bay. The Ramsey Rd you cross under between the Grand Bay exits was named after her ex's family. They sold all the ROW for the Intersate to them.

I lived and worked up there in the early days of my married life. By then I was out of the shipyard an into radio. I once did the midday shift at WUNI in Mobile and was at WKRG-AM way back in the 60's.

Thanks again for all the info. Great memories!
