Romney has right RX for McCain
Seattle Times ^ | August 3rd | Froma Harrop

We who obsess over universal health coverage may soon confront a startling development: The only candidate on a major-party presidential ticket to have proposed and implemented a universal plan could well be a Republican. I speak of former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, now high on the list of John McCain's possible running mates.

You are right.

The absence of response does make them appear to be children.

"Is it true that Romney’s company moved manufacturing jobs out of Ohio?"

Probably; I don't think that there could be many companies that didn't move jobs out of Slohio.

“You failed to rebut the CATO institute facts about Romney-Loser?

Shall I repost them?”

You repost and repeat everything, ad nauseum. Makes my eyes tired. At least you didn’t repost them in boldface. In fact, my brain is tired too from an overdose of your spam. So, I bid you adieu until tomorrow’s reposts, repeats, spams and silly pics. I’m sure you’ve got plenty more in your arsenal, but stash it until the morrow, s’il vous plait. I’m pooped.

Now now, that is not fair. You cannot use facts in a Mitt Romney thread, they interfere with the “truth”...

I am not afraid of insulting the liberals around here... they’re growing by leaps and bounds and the fact is, so called “conservatives” need to understand what true conservatism is about.

And I’m sure you’ll be right here to teach us all about how to be conservatives, right? Wrong. One man’s conservative is another man’s liberal. To you, if they are not your brand of conservative, why, then, they are a liberal. Funny, I think the same about you. If you aren’t my brand of conservative, then you must be a liberal. Too many liberals around here, you included.

Sounds like the symptoms of “fact allergies” to me. Seems almost epidemic among Mitt supporters, even after mild exposure to facts.

Most interesting symptom is the complete inability to address facts and the complete need to label facts as “spam” and “lies” despite citations and even video proof.

I'd take some time off, maybe it will clear...

She asked what my religion was after I said that people do mock religions. We are free to form our own opinions about all religions.

I am under no obligation to say what particular religion I believe in.

“I’d take some time off, maybe it will clear...”

Why don’t you just clear ... out. Then I’ll feel free to take some time off. Who in heaven’s name wants to go through you Romney haters constant lists of his sins that you post over and over and over. All of your lists have been refuted and all of Romney’s good points have been stated on Romney threads on this website day after day after day. And then you just bring your same “talking points” up all over again, on thread after thread after thread. No one is going to take your bait anymore.

No one is going to waste their precious time making rational points and responses to irrational and emotion-laden Romney haters, many of whom base their hatred on his being a Mormon. Why bother. It’s like talking to a brick wall. You believe whatever you want to believe. Just start getting used to the idea that whether it be as VP or as a member of McCain’s cabinet, Romney will be a major player in a McCain administration, and there is nothing you can do about it. That’s assuming McCain wins, which I do assume. The last laugh will be on you.

Have you ever watched the videos of Mitt saying he will 'protect a woman's right to choose', etc.? You seem incapable of acknowledging the actual video evidence that Mitt Romeny told the world he was going to be the defender of pro-choice in Massatwosh!ts! You respond to that video evidence with 'he was pro-life in his living' is a sad foolishness since even he relates why he defends abortion on demand beacuse of his family history on the issue!

Then, when caught on that non sequitur, you switch to pleading that he has changed to pro-life, thus by default admitting he was once 'not' pro-life!

But when the actual words from his own interviews AFTER his supposed Damascus Road conversion indict him as not actually pro-life on the very issue he claims lead him to change to pro-life, all you can do is attack the messenger.

And now you command the opposition to your fantasy world 'leave'.

What a joke you Romneyites are exposing yourselves to be.

Are you even actually pro-life? Or have you got some nuance to lay on us 'unwashed scoundrels' who refuse your Romney Kool-Aid?

I just got back from a Florida vacation. My first day there (Bay Point), I am sitting on my hotel balcony overlooking the front entrance, when I see John McCain’s bus pull up. Little did I know, he was holding a press conference there. As he disembarked from the bus, I shouted out “Pick Mitt!” I caught him again on the way out.

And here's some transcript to help you see Mitt's recent duplicitousness ... as you read the exchange with Couric recall that Mitt claimed it was the exploitation of embryonic beings that caused his supposed Damascus Road conversion:

Romney spoke with CBS News about his views and host Katie Couric asked Romney to describe the kind of embryonic stem cell research he might support.

"So what kind of embryos -- embryos that are created for procreation and then would be discarded? Are those the ones that you feel are perfectly fine from which to cull cells for stem cell research?" Couric asked.

"Yes," Romney responded, "those embryos that are referred to commonly as surplus embryos from in-vitro fertilization."

Romney said he would first like to see human embryos adopted by families before put up for their destruction. However, he explained how he would have no problem with parents who want to allow those human embryos -- unique human beings -- to be destroyed for research.

"But if a parent decides they would want to donate one of those embryos for purposes of research, in my view, that's acceptable," he said. "It should not be made against the law."

You’re in the zone, aren’t you. You can’t stop yourself; it’s like a compulsion on your part. You go on and on and on. Hang it up toots. Don’t want to hear any more of your haranguing about Mitt’s alleged sins. Can it. Or inflict it elsewhere but not on me. I smell someone who’s not screwed on right.
