Romney has right RX for McCain
Seattle Times ^ | August 3rd | Froma Harrop

We who obsess over universal health coverage may soon confront a startling development: The only candidate on a major-party presidential ticket to have proposed and implemented a universal plan could well be a Republican. I speak of former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, now high on the list of John McCain's possible running mates.

So only Romney and McCain had the right to then run? Maybe next time Myth will see to it that it is a closed race then.

However, it won't negate the fact that everyone who votes for him is dooming conservatism and therefore are either liberals themselves or people who think they're conservative, but are actually people without morals or principles.

So you are saying I am without morals or principles. Considering you do not know anything about me other than the fact you and I disagree about Mitt Romney being a conservative, that is a very presumptuous assertion. I am a conservative. I live my life guided by conservative principles, as does Mitt Romney. We do not attempt to legislate morality as do some self-described conservatives.

The rest being? Name names. Who are you talking about. What facts can you point to that show what your saying is true.

All dirt and above the fog when we started.

Then I'm going to have to say it was Refugio Road. It sounds like the drive made quite an impression for a number of reasons.

The Romney haters are desperate.

Saying things like

“Mitt killed people”

“Mitt took credit for ‘Duncan Hunters’ fence”

“Mitt bribed every Mainsteam Conservative in America”

That’s a bunch of crap!

Pro-lifers generally tend not to donate to Planned Parenthood!

I think you just won that point since they don't want to discuss the issue with you anymore and they are calling a end to the conversation. ;)

Geeezz, at least wait until the majority of America (Of the 10% that actually follow politics.) has seen both candidates in the debates and the usual media exposure has settled down before you project a winner.

This election season has not even begun yet. The majority of Americans are still on vacation or busy with the usual Summer distractions.

I know this may sound strange to you, but the bulk of the public is not very interested in politics and still can’t list the names of key cabinet members or who is the Senate majority leader and speaker of the house.

Heck, some can’t even give you the name of the Vice President.

Do you have any pictures of you campaigning for someone? Who are you for? We know who you are against.

Get over it.

Is he not allowed to laugh at the fact that some people believe their garments are sacred?

They certianly have the right to think anything they want. And he as the right to mock. No religion is unmockable.

Every Democrat since 1988 has been up by 15 points at this point.

Obama just lost 10 in the past 2 weeks in national polls.

And every state poll shows McCain either winning or breathing down Obama’s neck.

Are you wanting Obama to win?

“You won’t have to find me, I admit when I’m wrong. However, it won’t negate the fact that everyone who votes for him is dooming conservatism and therefore are either liberals themselves or people who think they’re conservative, but are actually people without morals or principles.”

It won’t be Romney that will be dooming conservatism. He will have minimal power as VP. You better be worrying about McCain, not Romney. It will be McCain that will go liberal on certain issues and cause all sorts of trouble, in particular on the immigration issue and “global warming”. Point your finger in the right direction, and that’s at maverick McCain.

By the way, I’d be careful about impugning some of your fellow Freepers by stating:

“or people who think they’re conservative, but are actually people without morals or principles”

Not everyone necessarily thinks or feels exactly like you do with your brand of conservatism. There are many strains of conservatism, the social conservatives, the economic conservatives, the more libertarian conservatives, the foreign affairs/terrorism issue conservatives, and other forms of conservatism. It’s a big tent party, remember?

I was TAC and my “bil” was SAC. It was a road trip if you know what I mean but my car was marked accordingly. We had a blast and when we dropped out on the east side we knew.

Once again, the rest being? Name names. Who are you talking about. What facts can you point to that show what your saying is true. Who are the bigots? Point them out. Lumping everyone together is wrong and you know it. So this time answer the question without changing it.

True, so true, this hatred of Mitt, Rudy and others is a bit much. Could it be that is why the Socialist are winning?
