Former Minnesota Gov. Jesse Ventura is slated to speak at an alternative rally for Republican Representative Ron Paul during the GOP convention.
Uhhh Ok.
Keep us posted on off shore and ANWR info.
I love that little guy...looks like my doggie, Lola , when she’s watching Obmama on TV!
I’ve sort of listened to some of the shows today and I’m pi$$ed at the lack of response to the Dems talking points.
When they say “12 Billion in profits, they should return some of that money to the people”. Shouldn’t our side point out the 60 Billion paid in taxes (isn’t that sort of a windfall profits tax?) and they should also point out the dividends they also pay?
When they say “68 million acres going unused”. Shouldn’t our side point out that there may not be oil there?
When they say “it will take 7 years for the oil to reach the pumps”. Shouldn’t our side say the we must do it for the children?
Also no one ever points out that it would be a huge boost to our economy to do it all, drill, refine, transport, nuclear. Also just where is our infrastructure set up for alternative or renewables?
I just don’t get it. Our side just misses so many openings. But that’s just me.
Did anyone take note of what Juan Williams said about Obama very near the close of Fox News Sunday?
Juan Williams say something to the effect that Obama needs to be this and that — (I think the following is an exact quote) — “... instead of being an empty vessel of change.”
Can anyone get this to Limbaugh?
One of my sad memories is of Arianna Huffington hosting an alternative convention in PHiladelphia in 2000. Guess who was the keynote speaker?
Sourgrapes McCain! He did everything he could to sabotage Bush’s first term, and now he wants our votes. I will vote for him but not with any joy.

Below from HOT AIR:
Washington, Aug 3 - House Republicans will be back on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives again Monday to continue the unprecedented protest that began last Friday, when dozens of Republicans joined hundreds of American citizens on the House floor to protest Speaker Nancy Pelosis (D-CA) decision to send Congress home for the rest of the summer without a vote on legislation to lower gas prices and move America toward energy independence.
In an urgent memo sent to GOP Members and staff Saturday (A Call to Action on American Energy), Republican Leader John Boehner (R-OH) and Whip Roy Blunt (R-MO) hailed Fridays action, which was led by Reps. Mike Pence (R-IN), Lynn Westmoreland (R-GA), Tom Price (R-GA), and others, and encouraged House Republicans to return to the Capitol beginning Monday morning to help keep the historic effort going.
Fantastic news!
3 points:
#1--It's amazing what the US (and only the US) can do with so little.. With 3% we contribute %25 percent to the world's GDP, growth, innovation, etc.
#2--we're trying to increase that 3% contribution to 5 or 10 percent.
#3 --Do the POS Dems suggest other countries are better, safer, more responsible than we are when it comes to supplying oil. Do they want to leave and entrust the dirty work to other countries that clearly can't handle it. Look at China's air.
Did John Cary mean "proven" oil reserves or actual oil production? The US Department of Energy says we're the world's #3 producer of oil. Doesn't this speak volumes about the US oil industry's technological competitiveness? Doesn't this deserve at least a mention on the Sunday talk shows? Sheesh.
I'm sure we righties would fall in love with her, and lots of the middle too.
LOL. Kinda goes along with pushing to empty our strategic reserve because it would help "solve our gas price crisis", but drilling for far more oil would not. It gives new meaning to the world duh!.
Cherry Trifle for dessert
ROTFL. The jury will diregard the previous statement. But we've all been reminded just the same...
Oooh wow looks awesome snugs, have a great week.
I am very relieved that Romney isn't on their members list after all. The six senators who are listed are: Norm Coleman, Susan Collins, John McCain (sigh), Gordon Smith, Olympia Snowe, and Arlen Specter.
Looks great snugs. My problem with Turkey Legs is all of the bonelike tendons in them. Oh well, the greatest addition from America to world meats.
