Glassman, undersecretary of state for public diplomacy and public affairs; Laura Tyson, adviser to Barack Obama; Nancy Pfotenhauer, adviser to John McCain.
Not surprising...arrogance is a requirement for that side of the aisle...
Lurch on MTP is trying hard but his words ring hollow.
LOL!
Reliable Sources:
VEEP speculation; Celebrity Ad, Race card, Olympics, O’Reilly are the topics.
First up: The bimbo eruption (which is what Howie is calling the celebrity ad). Shows the celebrity ad, but doesn’t show the “ONE” ad.
Simon (Politico), Stoddard (the hill), and Felling (whoever he is).
HOwie calls the comparison “silly”. Simon says the ad was incoherent (which means it really really worked). Simon calls it a “grumpy old man commercial”.
Howie says the ad is childish. Felling says the ad is insulting. But, hey we are giving it a lot of coverage.
Stoddard: The ad is over-the-top and tacky. Comparing Obama to airheads is really offensive. The ad is effective thanks to the media for playing it again and again.
Howie asks about the imbalanced coverage: Felling: there is star worshiping by the media; and the more McCain spot lights it the coverage will get dimmer and dimmer on Obama.
Howie asks about the WSJ statement about Obama being too skinny?
Simon: He thinks its silly season and this WSJ article shows it. Obama will wake up to the fact that he needs to show some “false” humility. Simon loved the “ONE” ad, which HOwie refuses to play.
Howie asks about the VEEPSTAKES, and remarks about the media making stupid statements regarding veeps.
Stoddard says the media plays the game because the campaign gets dull, so they like to guess.
Simon: The real sources aren’t talking and some names being floated are just candidates being nice to people.
Felling: Palin from Alaska is the dark horse for the republicans. He equates it to March madness. Its nothing but filler time for the cablers.
blah, blah, blah
Numbers say it all,Congress approval—9%, Those now in favor of drilling 85% up from 75%. Critical mass will ruin her makeup.

Thank you Miss Nancy. Keep up the good work. She claims her signature issues are energy indpendence (yeah, right) and saving the environment.
The second one I believe, at the cost of the first.
I think the Democrats believe the Olympics and then their convention will have people thinking of different things, and not how much we’re paying for gasoline.
Good one... Mary McGrory lives!
Its entertaining but John Kerry controlled the show the first 15 minutes of discussion. That would never have happened with Tim Russert. Even though it was apparent at times that Russert was a Dem, he never lost control of his show.
I read that the Senate did not go into recess, in order to prevent President Bush from making any recess appointments again. The senate will have a five minute session every three or four days during August.
This is cowardly and nasty behavior and not one news program that I have seen has mentioned it at all.
If they really did not go out of session, then some parliamentary procedure should be available to Senator McConnell and Leader Boehner to act on energy legislation.
The McCain campaign is not only drawing blood—listen to the howls from the Democrats and MSM—but he is rapidly defining who Obama is and what he stands for.
The advertisements are working, and almost with uniform MSM opposition, Senator McCain's campaign is progressing.
Let it be documented....last night, on HGTV, a commercial paid for by the WWF...the World Wildlife Federation headed by the Clinton former head of the Interior, had the polar bear commercial.
.
Asked my Democrat supporter buddy his #1 Issue: Climate Change, explaining when the ice caps melt and sea levels rise there is going to be a lot of refugees, Florida Peninsula will be under water, China will have lost major coast line and have huge refugee problem.
Tom Brokaw is kinda fun. Watching Lurch next to Lieberman (I/D) is a joke. Kerry says we only have 3% of the world’s oil. He’s a liar
Say, that’s a fine machine there! Give it the right sails and it should be good to go. :D
That ad was really effective. I even saw commentary about it on the TV Guide channel!
“I read that the Senate did not go into recess, in order to prevent President Bush from making any recess appointments again. The senate will have a five minute session every three or four days during August.”
UNBELIEVABLE!! This really hacks my hide. Do we have a link for this info? We need to get the word out if this is true through the NEW MEDIA!
Anyone that misses MTP will miss a terrific job by Joe Lieberman!! He has said everything we should have been saying and done it with class, enthusiasm and totally destroyed the rats. Brokejaw has had to change the venue three times since they lost issue after issue several times.
