Did you hear ?...Levin ran the numbers on EXXON's $11 billion profit in the 2nd qtr. They paid $32 billion in taxes during the same quarter ! 3 times their profit. Jeez.

And they're just getting 8-9% return on their investment. Pharmaceuticals... high-tech corporations are receiving mid to high double-digit returns.

And GM had a $17+ billion loss for the same quarter. According to “windfall” rules, the government should give money to GM.
At least they should express sympathy.
At least they should recognize that high fuel prices are hurting our economy!
