I read that the Senate did not go into recess, in order to prevent President Bush from making any recess appointments again. The senate will have a five minute session every three or four days during August.

This is cowardly and nasty behavior and not one news program that I have seen has mentioned it at all.

If they really did not go out of session, then some parliamentary procedure should be available to Senator McConnell and Leader Boehner to act on energy legislation.

The senate will have a five minute session every three or four days during August.

Republicans should be in full attendance every time, and keep demanding domestic oil drilling!
