I thought CSpan was jointly owned by all cable companies, in order to keep Americans apprised of what's going on when Congress is in session. They consider it their Public Service Programming. But the majority decides when the House is in session, or not. When Nancy and the Democrat adjourned, the cameras were shut off.

What confuses me is that I remember when Republicans would present speeches to a House that was almost empty, but the cameras would record them. Was that when the Republicans were in the majority, or was it during a regular session of Congress that hadn't been adjourned?

Back when the Republicans were in control, anyone could stay up late making speeches. I once heard someone say, “When you turn on C-Span at odd hours, you hear the strangest things.” Not only did Hayworth and Rorabacher stay up late, so did many lefties— including Sanders. When I was able to hear Laura Ingraham, she had a regular lampoon of what she called ‘the Three Stooges’— three lefties who made such lampooning quite easy [back when Hastert was Speaker].

Hannity keeps running how Pelosi promised sweetness and light if she were Speaker. Ha!
