CSPAN has shut down coverage of the House. The lights have been turned out.
House Republicans are still there, raising cain- trying to get them to turn the lights back on and continue debating over drilling!!!

I just called and said "There's a Republican revolt going on int the House Chamber and I wasn't seeing much coverage of it." I got a run around on it. Was told several times "There are no cameras on now. Cameras are not allowed." I objected, politely, that the story could still be covered.
He seemed mildly irritated that I would question that and asked if I wanted to talk to (name garbled) and I said yes. Got a phone tree that led to leaving a recorded message. I did...
"There's a Republican revolt going on in the House Chamber. I understand that the cameras are turned off. You can still cover the story. Thank you."

I told them I was following the news at FRee Republic, they told me OUTSTANDING

So did I. Told them I am 75, have voted in every election and primary since I was old enough, and never thought they’d have the guts to do this. That I am very proud to be a Republican today.

This is awesome. It’s a publicity stunt since Pelosi pushed that 213-212 vote through to adjourn, but it can be a very effective one. Unfortunately, I know the MSM (Fox included) is going to totally embargo this story the way they’ve embargoed Silky Pony’s love child story. The sheeple need to see these images and hear these speeches, but they won’t, because Queen Nancy I has decreed it so.
Won’t have much practical impact, but it’s a great piece of guerilla theater!

There was a notice at the bottom of the Current C-Span coverage about the Reps still being on the House floor but that NO TV COVERAGE WAS BEING ALLOWED!!! HA!
Maria Cantwell (the stooopid democrat) is making a presentation on C-Span2 claiming the Republicans are holding up ‘legislation’ to search for alternate energy sources that will relieve the price at the pump now. How can democrats be so damn stupid? And they have voters so dumbed down that they expect the deceit to pass unnoticed!
This somehow, some way needs to be turned into an ad.

I just called McCotter’s office. He is definitely part of the people there. The lady was very pleasant and seemed pleased that I called. I told her about FR and that people here are all supporting them.
She took my name and address eventhough he is not my representative.
She mentioned getting MANY calls on this.

Just called Ohio Congressman Jim Jordan to express my support. From the tone of his staffer who answered the phone, I don’t believe that the Congressman is on the floor right now. FWIW, Jim Jordan is one of the good guys. His number is 202-225-2676.
