Obama getting bounce according to both Gallup and Rasmussen
Gallup, Rasmussen ^

Posted on 07/26/2008 8:26:13 AM PDT by bumblethebee

Gallup now has Obama ahead 47-41 and Rasmussen has Obama leading by a 46-40 percent margin. Media bias is certainly a factor but McCain is running a campaign as thrilling as watching paint dry.

I watch paint dry for a living. I work for Sherwin-Williams. I can tell you first hand that watching paint dry is more exciting them listening to McCain.

Some voters like what they see.

Obama will save the world.

Btw, where’s the BARF alert?

We need a coup at the convention.

I thought we were a conservative party, how could this bozo have gotten our nomination?

Take our party back!

Well there goes the assumption the American people saw through his crap. If he gets a bounce for not visiting wounded troops, America is finished.

I’m not that concerned about it. It may be a real bounce, but then again, it may not be. Remember, those figures are well within the daily ranges we’ve seen for both candidates for the last month or so. It may just be statistical noise.

Give it a week or two and then lets see what the numbers look like.

I don't see a bounce... he should be up by double digits! Six points is hardly worth all the hyped world tour!

Heard all this in 1996 when Clinton faced Bob Dole. Clinton was ahead...and stayed ahead.

I doubt many people know about the fact that he skipped those visits...yet. The MSM isn’t going to give it much, if any airtime, so it’s going to be up to talk radio and word of mouth, and that’s going to take a little time.

Agreed.

Lets check again in two weeks and see if this bounce is anything meaningful.

All of these polls are meaningless until mid September. Having said that it is going to take a miracle for McCain to win and I don’t see a miracle on the horizon.

By the way I don’t say that because of McCain. If a true conservative was the nominee I would say the same thing. It’s going to be tough to win this November.

How tired did everybody get of the American Idol winners soon after they won?

I’m forecasting huge buyer’s remorse come 2009.

All this skewed, fallible polling does is create fodder for DU'ers to scream in November about election theft under the banner of 'We were 10 points ahead in the polling, obviously this election was stolen!'

Meaningless, these polls.

McCain needs to wake up and do something dramatic. I mean really over the top to force the media to stop fawning over Obama for awhile. I was wondering if he should really ask Hillary to run as his VP. This would really shake things up. Just ask her to think about it and say he will not accept any answer as firm for a month. When the month is up then ceremoniously ad sadly accept her non-acceptance and pick someone else. Don’t think for a minute that I want Hillary as VP, we can’t take a chance of having to liberals in the White House. I am just talking about playing with the media. When McCain does pick a VP I sure hope he picks someone who can string more than two words together without losing their train of thought or stuttering. I would make quick wittedness and ability to speak better than Obama an important trait.
