Edwards: The Agony of the MSM
Please don’t make us tell you what happened.
By Mickey Kaus
Heck yeah.
Hooray for heterosexual lawyer guys who cheat on their wives who have cancer, and are trying to remain relevant in politics, while driving the medical malpractice insurance rates to stratospheric levels.
It has long been my opinion that Watergate was a Drive-By Meida coup détat.
Maybe Edwards was in the toilet for so long because he was filling out a job application for “towel holder”? That’s about the only job he’s really qualified for. (Sorry, towel holders).

John Edwards, The National Enquirer, And The Mainstream Press
Then there's Roberts' line about the Enquirer lacking "sensitivity." With five reporters scrambling to ask Edwards about his alleged affair, the Enquirer was certainly showing sensitivity to the truth in all its shades.
No, they were covering their flanks and trying to insulate themselves from legal action by gathering more evidence.
Or maybe she's saying the tabloid should be sensitive to Edwards' feelings by ignoring the story, as the Washington Post and Times and others have done, as though the truth can be kept bottled up at whim, and as if it's a newspaper's role to help perpetuate a lie, to keep Elizabeth Edwards in the dark until what? until she passes away?
No, the WaPo and Times and others have only been sensitive to charges of insensitivity on their part. They don't care about Ms. Hunter, Mrs. Edwards, or any of their precious babes. They care about looking like they care.
Moreover, somewhere in the future if Mrs. Edwards should die of her illness, the players (Edwards, Rielle Hunter, the Beard who claims to be the father, and the tight-lipped MSM) will all come forward and make the bald-faced claim that whatever lies were told and whatever truth was suppressed, they all acted out of decency (!) and compassion for Mrs. Edwards. Haloes will be passed out like party favors.
the National Enquirer also broke the Rush Limbaugh prescription drug story, a host of stories in the OJ murder case, the Bill Clinton/Monica Lewinsky scandal, the Gary Hart scandal, the Jesse jackson love child and the Clinton pay for pardons ...

Why isn’t the press asking if Edwards is a sex hypocrite?

John Edwards Love Child? A Newsroom Conundrum
Let's see the pictures and then hear Edward's explanation as to what he was doing there at 2:40 AM.
If this were someone like Newt Gingrich or Karl Rove, you can bet it would be front page news for weeks.
The Enquirer knew of the potential explosiveness of this story before their reporters and photgraphers drove over to the hotel.
Why didn’t anyone get a photo of him coming out of the elevator in the lobby (or even with their cell phone camera as he stepped into the stairwell in the basement)?
Better, why no video?
And he’s a VP candidate?
I think it’s a credibility issue. I mean really, National Enquirer? You know a story like this is probably bogus when Drudge hasn’t even gotten anything on it.
Besides the mediots's overt and obvious lying, spinning and bias for their rats politicians, Their biggest sins against America may be their spiking of any news that can hurt their beloved liberal rat bastard politicians like their lack of coverage on this story.
The link you posted works but slate has scrambled the story to make it unreadable.
Wrong.

E.W. Scripps’ second-quarter earnings fell 47%
Better yet, doesn’t the hotel have surveillance cameras all over the place? But of course, discretion is the better part of revenue, and hotels still have to answer to John Smiths.
What hurts the media reputation is them making up news or covering various news in an obvious biased manner.
Now if say Mitt Romney had been seen sneaking out of some bimbos hotel room at 3 a.m. do you think the Times or Post would have buried the story?
Much more dish here. Edwards’ advisors furious. Eruption could cost him the veep nomination.
