WASHINGTON - Mitt Romney is a shrewd businessman, known for his cautious approach to the nerve-rattling takeover business. Romney's colleagues even came up for a name for what happened when Romney's inner worries began to ruffle his carefully groomed appearance - "pitting," for when the armpits of his expensive blue shirts would start to darken from perspiration.

Let’s see his endorsement screed.
Wow ! Where the heck have you been, Granny ? You ain’t posted in 6 weeks.
Your homepage tells me all I need to know about you. I mention it from time to time to clue the readers. And btw, I personally know a number of MEN, who would not be impressed with your homepage. I was raised by one of them, one of the kindest gentleman it was my honor to know. If he were here, he’d tell you about it too.
Come out of the bigot closet!
Your homepage tells me, madam, that you are an odious hypocrite.
Because Connie ain’t being paid by the Huckster campaign. ;-)
You are one of the greatest disparager of conservatives I have ever seen. Truly you have no room to talk.
I do have room to talk. I’m not the one serving as an apologist for one of the greatest liberal con artists in GOP party history. For you to feign moral superiority is hysterical, madam.
So good to have you back, Resty! (((HUGS)))
I think you nailed it. Interesting how they keep mentioned Tanc's endorsement. Hunter's presidential was more popular with freepers than Tancredo (due to Tanc being seen as a "single issue candidate"), but since Hunter never feel in love with Mitt, as far as they're concerned he no longer exists.
Do ya think he supports Mitt because Mitt is handsome?
Thanks.
I keep finding myself on these dumbass threads that promote and support Myth Romney. First as POTUS and now as VPOTUS. I hate liberalism for what its done to this great nation, my country. I will oppose any liberal, Democrat, Republican or Independent.
I’ve said for the longest time, I will not vote for either the liberal Guiliani or the liberal Romney, if they become the GOP nominee. I’d rather not see Rooty or Willard as McCain’s VP choice. There are many good, soild and genuine conservatives around for McCain to choose from.
This idea that a McCain-Romney ticket would be unbeatable is bogus. McCain picks Mitt, say hello to President Obama. Frankly, if Romney appealed to enough voters, he would be the GOP nominee today. That didn’t happen. Thank God!
Thanks for giving me the best laugh of the evening.
I was truly astonished to see Tancredo sell out so cheap and shank Hunter in the back (whom all sources claimed he promised to endorse when Tancredo dropped out). Guess all the Slick Willard $$ and promises to arrest debts and fund future candidacies was too much to resist. Well, now we all know he’s a Judas to all Conservatives.
I think Bork supports Romney because Romney TALKS a good game about implimenting a conservative agenda as President and Bork thinks he will. Bottom line is that Bork trusts Romney's word and I don't trust Romney's word. I think if Judge Bork did a little more research into Romney's record he'd change his mind about him, but who knows?
Alot of otherwise good conservatives endorsed the ultra-liberal Giuliani in primary, and while I trust their opinions on their area of expertise (like Steve Forbes opinions on the financial market), I could care less who they think would make a good veep.
I trust Bork to do an excellent job of interpresenting constitutional law, but not on vetting political candidates. Simple as that.
And as I've noted here about three times now, Duncan Hunter took a long hard look at the remaining candidates in the race when it was McCain, Huckabee, and Romney, and concluded Huckabee was the man for the hour. Freepers disagreed. Why do Romney's fans "trust" the opinions of Tancredo, Bork, and Coulter, but not Linder, Hunter, and Rounds? Could it be Romneybots only care about the opinions of prominent conservatives when it mirrors their own thoughts?
Problem is, madam, it’s you that’s the joke.
I agree, I was 90% certain he'd endorse Hunter when he dropped out of the race (though I thought it might happen the other way around since Tancredo had built up a national following for years with the immigration stuff, but Hunter couldn't get any traction). I thought it was a erroneous report when I first heard Tanc was endorsing Romney. I mean the guy is REALLY "no compromise" with the "get tough on illegals" stuff and here he is standing behind a potium with with Mr. Sanctuary Cities and Mr. Two Years Ago I Thought Amnesty Sounded Reasonable.
Even worse is Bob Barr's actions. Never in a million years would have I expected to one day see Bob Barr endorse gay marriage, amnesty for illegals, and Gore-bull warming, or EVER here him utter that Clinton was preferable to Bush as President.
::sigh:: Tragic to see once-great conservative leaders sell their souls to the dark side.
Thank you where I was at there was no computer!
As for some of the other names mentioned on this thread, we brought them up because on almost EVERY Romney thread, we have been accused of being false conservatives, our main point being, if we are false conservatives than so are all the other conservatives supporting Romney including Judge Bork, Mark Levin, Ann Coulter, etc...
I believe Romney will govern conservatively, or I couldn't support him.
And yes, I know some good and longtime conservatives who supported Rudy, however, mistaken they may have been. : ) Furthermore, I didn't accuse them of being any less conservative for their choice.
I supported McClintock over Arnie, though not being from CA, I couldn't vote in that race. I did understand why some conservatives voted for Arnie, even if I thought they were wrong. And never once did I accuse them of not being conservative. And yet, some of the same people on this board who supported Arnie, now claim that conservatives who support Mitt aren't true conservatives.
It gets tiresome.
