B. Hussein Obama has come and gone on his visit to Jalalabad Air Field in eastern Afghanistan. He landed about 1515 local and was gone by 1800, which is more than enough time for any Democrat to check the Natioanl Defense box, and he is now just as qualified as John McCain to speak on all matters related to Operation Enduring Freedom.
During his visit he toured the Task Force (TF) Bayonet 173rd Brigade (Sky Soldiers!) Headquarters and Tactical Operations Center (TOC).
Well, that's the big news from the front line fellow FReepers. Keep up the fight at home and we'll do our part here.

On occasions I have been stuck on the Tarmac longer than that.
Wondering how much time he spent at those stops, and wondering as well the depth and breadth of any briefings he might have received if any. With Obama I can easily imagine many were prepared to present truth to the man, but were probably brushed aside as he isn’t there IMO seeking truth so much as just being there in response to the accusations of not having been there in recent times. This is simply a showtime for Obama.
Without anybody detached from his drive for the WH accompanying him, he and his can say anything in their favor without reprisal.

He’s subcommitte duties is to take care of things in NATO/Afghanistan but he’s been too busy posing for the cameras!
