B. Hussein Obama has come and gone on his visit to Jalalabad Air Field in eastern Afghanistan. He landed about 1515 local and was gone by 1800, which is more than enough time for any Democrat to check the Natioanl Defense box, and he is now just as qualified as John McCain to speak on all matters related to Operation Enduring Freedom.
During his visit he toured the Task Force (TF) Bayonet 173rd Brigade (Sky Soldiers!) Headquarters and Tactical Operations Center (TOC).
Well, that's the big news from the front line fellow FReepers. Keep up the fight at home and we'll do our part here.
God Bless, Captain (Now Major) Shamrock

He may have visited other sites in Afghanistan,...hold your fire a bit....
To: BOBTHENAILER
Was he ducking withering sniper fire the whole time?
I don't think that the Taliban or Al-Qaeda would shoot at one of their supporters.

Did he get dust in his eye? Sunburn? Something to get a purple heart.

Was he ducking withering sniper fire the whole time? I think the idiot left (those who loath the military) confuse these two concepts:
"I was there under the protection of expert military snipers."
versus
"I landed there under sniper fire."

Was that counted from the minute the tires touched ground until they lifted off?
Then of course all the press had to de-plane at a snail’s pace. I wonder what his actual feet-on-Jalalabad-soil time was.
Perhaps #60 could re-phrase his/her post to make it acceptable altho the thought behind it may not be.

Does he wear sandals when he returns home to visit?
To: TomGuy
Katie, Brian and Charlie They are not with him on this whirlwind of a trip to Afghanistan and Iraq. They will meet up with him when the crowds get bigger and are more friendly and gullible.

Thanks Ernest, I just read that one and came back into reality to find your post here. I was terribly confused in the beginning with different times, helicoptors taking off with who knows what on board, etc. until I noted that no reporters were with the Obamassiah and his top secret entourage.
The conflicting information with that of our Capt.now Major Freeper in Jalalabad begins to make sense. Obama’s people think they can report anything they want without reprisal as they haven’t anybody alleged news reporters to counter what they are issueing as news to the MSM.
I hope we have even more good FReepers along the way to report truth over there.

Just long enough to go to the airport gift shop, get a pressie photo taken, visit the head, make sure the passport was stamped and reboard the plane.
Perfect description. I'm wondering if he gets the pervasive feeling that he is surrounded by people who cling to their guns and their religion.

And they didn't go with him...Why?? Probably because they wouldn't agree to "Edit as Ordered". This way...he can write his own news.
It'll be: "I've learned a lot but can't divulge it....Secrecy is important in war."

they just started laying asphalt on the ring road Good news. I jogged it many times, but couldn't run with any speed. I'm blaming the gravel, but the heat may have had something to do with it!
Best wishes to y'all. I just retired after 25 years.
