On that we can agree. "The love that dare not speak it's name.... just won't shut the F!$k up now."
My view? Ok you are, don't make me support it, pay for it, or pretend that it's like a marriage. When you two have a baby together without outside intervention, maybe I'll rethink #3.

Well I agree that putting your children first and commiting the time for them gives them the best chance at a good life.
I just don’t agree that it is always enough.
Front-load your highest success options, then work down the list.

The son has free will. Sodomy is against natural law. Go to any hardware store and the clerk will help you understand natural law - two male parts do not fit together. Blaming the parent because he is against Sodomy is right in line with the rest of extreme left idea of morality. Yes, smarten up the son’s ideas!
Reagan’s first two children with Jane Wyman turned out fine although Michael had a tough time growing up - remember his first book? Reagan’s two children with Nancy are a disgrace.
Hitting someone with a baseball bat is ‘assault with a dangerous or deadly weapon’ and could possibly be considered ‘attempted murder’. Both of those offenses are felonies.
Yes, President Reagan was married to Jane Wyman first. They had Maureen naturally and then adopted Michael. Everything that I have read about Maureen, who is now deceased, suggests that she was a pretty solid person who was active in the Republican party. I remember Nancy saying how much she depended on her in caring for the President and how devoted she was to him. I think that we all know that Michael is a straight shooter and a solid conservative. I think that both Maureen and Michael would be considered the children of divorce in this case and they turned out well.
Patti Reagan and Ron Reagan are the President's children with Nancy. They are not children of divorce, but I think that they are the ones that come to mind when upbringing is cited as not always the reason that kids turn out the way they do.
Sounds like there is more than one demon at work.
Well, the gay "lifestyle" often leads to a horrible sickness and death, not that I advocate what the father did. Driving out demons with a baseball bat, what a loon.
Son is 18 years old.
Father should just ask the young man to move out.
Not beat the young adult with a ball bat.
At 18 the guy is of age and can fend for himself. He’s big enough to make big boy decisions about life, he’s big enough to deal with the consequences.
1. [cue the Ramones]
2. Friendly suggestion: Maybe they both need an exorcism.
3. If you need a baseball bat to discipline your son, you’ve probably spared the rod too long.
Probably the same things you use a baseball bat to hit your wife with. Dufus
Why do people like you always reach for the “ITS THE SAME AS ISLAM” thing while wagging your finger and speaking in a shrill voice? Can’t you realize how incredibly weak an argument that is.
This instance is an isolated case of a son pissing his dad off. Of a son pushing buttons to infuriate his father. Most likely done with this same goal in mind.
Islam is the systematic abuse and subjugation of any non-male muslim person. Islamic governments support the beating. In the case of this thread the government is hardly supporting the beating. But I guess we’re all the same eh.
“Well, the gay “lifestyle” often leads to a horrible sickness and death,”
The gay lifestyle takes about 20 years off the average lifespan. According to a study recently published. I don’t have a link handy though.
Hey, we don’t even know if that is the reason the father was mad at the son. It is under investigation and this is the son’s side. Perhaps he is a drug user that mooches, doesn’t work, and doesn’t abide by the rules of the home - like coming home at a reasonable hour?
That is the teen’s version of things. Maybe he stole money, didn’t come home when he was supposed to, or doesn’t abide by the rules of living under his parent’s roof?
And sometimes they need a thwack on the noggin just on general principle.
I never slapped them or hit them in anger, but they knew which of their actions would earn them a butt whipping {and did their best not to get caught doing them}.
Of course, we only have junior's account. Dad may have told him to get out of his house (for reasons having nothing to do with gay pride) and junior balked, a scuffle ensued and junior whipped out the gay card.
No charges so far from what I see. Wonder if the punk got juiced and filed complaints because dad wouldn’t give him some money for ecstasy for his boyfriends?
