IMO its God who makes ones soul male or female. Some quack with a knife and some drugs can’t change it.
I moved to this side of the fence after watching a story about two guys. Both were married but were gay lovers. They both divorced their wives and had sex changes. Of course they remained lovers, only this time they had female plumbing.
Of course it is and since you have free will you can try to make up natural law to fit your trendy whims but that doesn’t make it so.
Free will or not, that is what they do. They do not have any problems porting liquid waste nozzles into those meant for solid ones. So the hardware explanation is kind-of irrelevant.
We’ll have to agree to disagree on all of your points. I have several homosexual members of the family and none of that matches reality as I have seen it. There’s no recruiting — (that’s a myth for which there is no basis, though I’m sure you will argue with me on this, at which point I’ll ask for the verifiable evidence) — no drug abuse, and, since they are all very sensible young men, no AIDS. The young ones are good students, the older ones are good citizens and their politics are not at all what you might expect. Hope this doesn’t get me banned from freerepublic.
So what happens when a female soul ends up in a man's body?
If it's ok to fix other types of birth defects, is it not ok to fix someone who was born with a penis, but has a woman's soul?

A soul is a spiritual item and not physical. I don’t believe a person is born with the wrong gender soul. Take my example of the two guys who both had sex change operations and both still remained ‘gay’. I do believe that certain psychologists make a LOT of money telling people their problems are caused by this ‘birth defect’.
We have the greatest medical system in the world. But there are many things beyond it. I don’t believe doctors actually change the persons sex; they only change their plumbing and pump them full of drugs. A person with a tortured soul remains a person with a tortured soul until they address it, whatever the cause.

So what do you call the times leaders of gay groups have been quoted saying “recruit, recruit, recruit”? Or about what they are doing in our public school systems. Encouraging kids to experiment. Seems to me a kid that was gay wouldn’t need to experiment.

Why would it? Gay people aren’t necessarily bad people, but the lifestyle is very self destructive. Life spans are shortened significantly. Take George Michael as an example. He meets strange men at bars and steps out behind a bush. How is that a healthy behavior?
I work in the public schools. I’ve only ever seen speaker come to the school and talk about sexual orientation, and that only as part of a larger discussion of safety and tolerance. No speaker who encouraged any students, straight or gay, to “experiment” with sex would be welcome in our school or any school I know of.
Also, you’ll just have to send me a link to any indication that any gay leader ever said “recruit, recruit, recruit”, and I would like the link to lead me to a primary source, not somebody quoting it.
Homosexuals are born that way. Every one of my gay nephews and cousins did everything they possibly could not to be gay. They hid it, they went out with girls, they prayed about it. Ultimately they could no more avoid it than you could avoid your heterosexuality. It is the exact opposite of a choice.

Doctors do actually change a person's sex. They do a very realistic job of it in many cases. Will that make those people women?
No. THose people are already women in there souls. Their personality is more consistent with that of women. They get along with women better. They feel like outsider in male settings and roles -- and they have felt that way since birth. As they get older and older, they realize more and more that something is not right with who they are. Their bodies do not match who they are on the inside.
Imagine that since you were 3 or 4, when you began to become aware of who you are, that you realize that you like things, that society says are girl things.
You spend your whole life hiding that fact from others. You seek counseling and religion to fix it and it never is fixed. YOu get tattoos on your forearms, you join the military, you do manly things to convince yourself that what is going on inside of you is your imagination. You consider yourself a freak and think that maybe suicide is the option.
There is no fix for gender identity dysphoria. The only option is suicide or sex change.
Every one of them grew up knowing that something was different about them. Those are the few that survived suicide -- and homicide at the hands that thought them freaks and worthy of death.
They're not drag queens or Jerry SPringer rejects. They're women. Some of them quite beautiful. Some not -- but they have a saying amongst themselves. "Better to be the ugliest girl on the beach, to at least be a girl on the beach."
They didn't wake up one day and decide "Today I think I would like a new hobbie. Maybe drums, photography, no, I got it -- I want to be a woman."
They struggled throughout their lives trying to understand why they were different.
Anyhow, I doubt you've read this far and I'm sure you think, "F@ck it. They're freaks."
No, they just happen to be born wrong.
Sh!t happens. It is a fallen world, and repentence, counseling -- or just hanging out with guys more often, doesn't fix it.

I did read and didn’t say that. Freaks come in many flavors. Many have MD or PhD in front of their name and are pushing an agenda.
