Hi Luv. I tried to catch a post now and then but the pace over the last several days was tough on this old pensioner who has grown accustom to a regular and relaxed life style. [Including many practice naps!] In some ways your gathering together on-line to observe Tony's passing may have been more appropriate. That is, after all, how many of us met.

It was how we met, huh? I...and am sure all the others...really appreciate your taking the time to tell us of your impressions and to see Tony’s last news conference through your eyes.

Thank you.

"...Tony’s last news conference..."

You do have a way with words, Luv. You also have a way with images. You posted some lovely Snow images, which I will revisit in the course of trying to read the entire Thread. So many folks from the past returned to honor Tony. He is no doubt pleased.

Wow!! I may have to change my background again! :)

Tony was such a sweetie! I’m going to miss that dear soul so much. He was with us for too short a time.

Dear Snowflakes: FOXFANVOX (affectionately, Foxy), was able to attend Tony’s funeral mass and has a beautiful report. Grab a tissue and read post #397.

Foxy, through tear, with lump in my throat, thank you for this. You know I mean that.

Amazing Grace was played and I was lifted by the music but unable to contain my grief.

Thank you so much. for taking the time to write your thoughts. I will look forward to reading more as you have time and as things come to mind.

I only have a minute right now, but want you to know that I have prayed for you this week. I had wondered if going to your aunt's funeral would be an outlet for your grief regarding Tony's death. I can see that it was.

I have more to say regarding your post, but I need to run---plus I can't see the screen very well through my tears. Thank you, thank you, thank you for representing us--Tony's fans who loved like a brother a man most of us hadn't ever met, and are incredibly sad at his death.

P.S. Your addressing of this post to Tony Snow really got the tears going--but it was so sweet.

You are more than welcome. It was difficult to attend and more difficult to describe. It still has not registered [except, perhaps, in my mind] that Tony has really passed on. It was an event befitting of Tony: grand and yet with the common touch. And with emphasis on his family.

Fox, that was beautiful! Thanks so much for the first hand report my FRiend! I can’t think of a better representative for the Snowflake community! Thanks for taking the time to attend, and then to share your thoughts and experience with us! The tears your post brought to my eyes were cathartic. You, like Tony, are the best, and it is a pleasure and an honor to call you FRiend!

What a nice post La Enchiladita! Your story really parallels mine, up to the pleading with the local stations to carry Tony’s show, with tips from Tony on how to do it! Being a part of the Snowflake community was so uplifting for me, and I have missed the threads! Will always be grateful to Tony for sharing his wit and wisdom. He will be missed!
