LadyJ, thank you. I am honored that my simple words were received in the spirit that was my intention. We are here to help each other, to build each other up, to gain strength from the strength of others. We all have weak moments. Heck, weak days, weeks, months and even years! It is so hard to maintain that ‘focus’. The daily grind of life is such a nuisance. We really DO need each other. :>)

There are some other photos, but they are at Yahoo and are AP photos. I think they are not supposed to be posted here--am I right?
Tony was the perfect example of the happy Christian. He was someone who took God’s Promise of everlasting life to those who believe in His Word very seriously, but wasn’t a preachy and dour man. He exuded that love from God, enjoyed life, lived it to the fullest, and showed everyone around him kindness. THAT’S the best Christian witness I can imagine, and he was likely a spark of repentance and conversion for many about whom he’ll never know.
Thanks for linking his last post LUV W.
A very tough day...we are so fortunate to have "known" Tony Snow.
I pray for his family and that others will learn from his wonderful example of what it means to be a man of integrity and courage!
(((Hugs)))
Checking in late but wanted to be w/all Tony’s Snowflakes on this Good-Bye-To-Tony thread. As far as I am concerned, and I know it’s true for all of us, Tony will always be remembered and therefore he is STILL w/us in spirit. He made a difference in this world. Now, he is w/God in that Special Place.
The female held one sign with Tony’s picture—”Tony is in Hell”. I couldn’t read the other one. Thank God I wasn’t driving by because I’m afraid I would have my first sudden “seizure” and run her down. Not much chance of that from up here in PA! I would have lost it. How long could they keep an almost 75 year old woman in jail anyway?
I could only listen for a few minutes—couldn’t believe she kept saying “God”—I would be afraid God would strike me dead for blaspheming His name.
Talk about litter in the streets!
That’s funny. I went down there and didn’t see ANYBODY.
I just hope and pray that none of the family saw it.
God bless Tony and his family.
My best regards...
Don't be a stranger, please!
Thanks for the ping!!
"The urn containing the remains of former White House Press Secretary Tony Snow is carried from the Basillica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception July 17, 2008, following funeral services."
Several of his friends made the comment that God must have needed to augment the celestial orchestra for the Christmas season.
I hope the Snow family is finding their own comfort.
RIP, Tony.
(((Carolinamom))) that is a wonderful post!
"Jill Snow, widow of former White House Press Secretary Tony Snow, center, holds hands with their daughters as they leave the Basillica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, Thursday, July 17, 2008, following funeral services."
Sofa checks into the Levin Lounge when he’s not being beseiged by phone calls or traveling.
"Bill O'Reilly arrives for funeral services for former White House Press Secretary Tony Snow."
I found the following clip, that shows another side of Tony that we saw too little of:
