Thanks rdb3. I so enjoyed the snowflake threads, even though I mostly lurked. Makes me wish I had participated more. Hugs backatcha.
As far as I know, a physical exam is a requirement for obtaining life insurance. My former husband had applied for a policy and before the exam decided to drink birch beer instead of his usual alcohol at lunch. Had several glasses, went for the exam rich after lunch and the urinalysis showed high sugar! So he was stuck with diabetic rates even tho he wasn’t!
A warning to all who may find themselves in this situation! :)
TONY'S LAST POST
"Faith is everything..."
God rest this gentle soul.....
Awwww...not your fault.
Everytime that wonderful picture at the top of this thread
pops up on my screen, I get tears in my eyes. Such memories
we have.......
Thanks so much for tracking down the link. I have a feeling that even though there is no live coverage inside that perhaps the proceedings may be being recorded via a closed caption feed for overflow mourners in the audtitorium or somewhere nearby, so we may yet be able to see (& share) at least some of Tony’s rite later.
It’s a beautiful shrine, retrokitten. My senior class trip in highschool was to D.C. and we had a Mass there. I will always remember it.
TONY’S LAST POST
“Faith is everything...”
God rest this gentle soul.....
Your words perfectly describe our Tony, LUV—a “gentle soul”
Tony would have loved knowing that you are wearing Davidson colors today, LadyJ
I’m sure it’s amazing inside. It reminds me of the cathedrals of Europe.
Thank you for this!!!!
Well, I have to ask...what ARE Davidson colors? Maybe I have
them, too.
I turned on Fox with the same hope. I haven’t even heard it mentioned. They have only said the President will be in CA looking at the fire areas.
The day is as beautiful as Tony was...how fitting....
Thank you for the link, CedarDave. I keep checking it. Have FNC on mute hoping they will have something
And I was just thinking right before you posted your memory of the shrine, that though it's probably not the most reverent selection I could have played (sorry Mom) it's still so appropos for Tony! May he hear the echo of it still ringing somewhere out in eternity! ;-)
“Well, I have to ask...what ARE Davidson colors? Maybe I have
them, too.”
I never thought of that, even after reading LadyJ’s post this morning! Your brain must be younger than mine! :)
LadyJ?
So I have noticed. Like....move on....
I am NOT ready to move on!
LOL!
I am nosy! :D
God give eternal rest to Tony and confort to the family. Amen
May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed rest in peace.
Amen.....
