It’s a beautiful shrine, retrokitten. My senior class trip in highschool was to D.C. and we had a Mass there. I will always remember it.

I’m sure it’s amazing inside. It reminds me of the cathedrals of Europe.

I was in there one day all by myself & the caretaker gave me a special tour. He let me play the pipe organ too! Much to my devout RC mother's disapproval when I recounted the story later, I played "Heart & Soul" in full-tilt boogie-woogie mode (which was all I knew HOW to play at the time.)

And I was just thinking right before you posted your memory of the shrine, that though it's probably not the most reverent selection I could have played (sorry Mom) it's still so appropos for Tony! May he hear the echo of it still ringing somewhere out in eternity! ;-)
