Christie Brinkley was wise to air lying, cheating Peter Cook's misdeeds in public more women should do so.

No doubt that Peter Cook was a sleezy man but for Christie Brinkley to air all of that out in public so that she could "win" is atrocious. She picked the loser.
KIDS: "Thanks MOM!"
I thought this is ironic, given that the previous article in the forum queue was about the “Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence” in San Francisco.
How to shame people in a shameless culture?
MOM: Stop that ! Do you want to grow up to be like your father ?
What she did was very smart....it certainly settled her case faster! Frog blames her for picking the scum.....but you never know someone until you live with them....are you saying they should of lived together first?
And Christie Brinkley is on what, divorce number FOUR? So she must be a real box of chocolates at home too. The follow-up article to this one should encourage married men to publicly air the runaway self-centered attitude problems of their wonderful wives too.
Sleazy is sleazy...whats good for one is good for the other.
This penchant for making women innocent victims is disgusting....”more women should do it “ indeed.
My buncho’crap meter is redlining....
This assumes of course that 1)people are aware of what "shame" is, 2) people are capable of feeling it and 3)that shame is a negative attribute and doesn't result in a perverse sort of adulation by the culture.
I'm not certain any of those assumptions is correct.
This is what Norman Sheresky, Cooks attorney, implied when he told the court, For goodness sake: Shes on her fourth husband. Well, yes, fourth husband it is a bit harder to find a good man these days.
He was a porn addict...a piece of dirt.
But he is the one who broke his vows.
First guy - can’t remember
Second guy - Billy Joel. She may have cheated on him.
Third guy - Taubman (or something like that). She found out he wasn’t as rich as he claimed and dumped his ass pronto.
Fourth guy - Started looking for something much younger.
Her track record is poor.
“After four divorces ... maybe it’s you?”
Yes, I am judging, but I'm judging by the behavior she CHOSE to put out there in public during this court case, She was relishing it. It was totally creepy.
“He was a porn addict.”
OK, and maybe she was a completely self-centered, annoying, controlling jerk at home too. Those four divorces are evidence of some breakdowns in her personal makeup for sure, but she gets a pass because she is the woman. What a joke.
Serial polyandry.
It is a dangerous road to revel in such scandal.
Years ago, there was a “People’s Court”-style TV show called “Divorce Court”. But unlike the ordered demeanor expected in other courts, this show highlighted the endless, cynical barrage of slanders found in divorce hearings.
It was appalling, more so because it reflected the reality of such shameful displays in real courts. Lawyers, as court officers, openly encouraged and coached spousal testimony that was far beyond the pale of even perjury. And unlike in legitimate courts, the judge was indifferent at best to the unsubstantiated lies, hate, and nonsensical attacks before him.
Mutual accusations of adultery, child abuse and molestation, drug and alcohol abuse, religious cultism, battery and threat of or even attempt of murder, theft and fraud, reckless endangerment, rape, and anything else that came to mind were de rigueur. The judge just ignored these vile accusations.
This is neither order nor justice, and any judge should be ashamed to tolerate such behavior. And if there was reasonable suspicion that the criminal elements had basis in fact, the judge should have suspended the hearing and summoned the police.
It’s not like women NEVER lie!
Christie Brinkley made her name and her fortune by offering herself to the public as a piece of tasty eye candy. Then, after three failed marriages, she married a piece of male eye candy and expected him to be uninterested in other pieces of female eye candy who were younger than she now is. On what utopian planet did she think she lived?
