Glad you posted. Gladder still to know that you connected with Tony Snow on a personal basis.
The positive effect of his life and influence will, I believe, continue to bear fruit and grow.
Your life is one that brings testimony of Tony Snow’s impact for good on others.

It’s adding more pain to the day to watch these newbies on Fox reporting on an icon like Tony. They have no idea.......

There are relatively few people who leave such a major imprint on our minds and hearts. He is among them. How terribly sad that he’s gone...how thankful for all that he accomplished and the examples he set. God bless him and his family.

Oh save-—your posts have brought me to tears more than once today. We have lost so much——I so wanted to read a book about his time at the WH-—his reflections on GWB-—anything!! Tony and GWB are my two favorite public figures. This is just so heartbreaking-—and I didn’t even know him. I can’t imagine the loss his family is feeling...

Here are some more words of wisdom from tony’s address to Catholic U:
To love is to place others before you and to make their needs your priority. Do it. When you put somebody else at the center of the frame, your entire world changes, and for the better. You begin to find your own place in the world. When youre drawn into the lives of others, you enter their problems, their hopes, their dreams, their families. They whisk you down unimagined corridors, toward possibilities that had been hidden to you before. So resolve to do little things for others. You dont know where theyre going to lead but then again, you dont have any idea where your life is going to lead. When I was your age, I had long hair, a beard and thought of myself as a socialist. You are going to pinball all over the place, from experience to experience, job to job. And I want you to remember that youve got company. And that if you engage them with heart and mind, with faith and energy, you are going to find yourself on a cresting wave. Itll carry you forward and itll push you under water from time to time. And some day in the dim and distant future, when youre looking back at it, youre not going to think about your car or your career or your gold watch. Youll think about a chewed-up teddy bear you had as a baby or maybe your childs smile on a special Christmas morning. The only things that are sure to endure are the artifacts of love. So go out and build as many as you can.

I have no idea why I did that ... but it left me feeling disgusted and angry. These are truly nasty people.
Tony was a principled, gentle, sweet and courageous man, who didn't make disagreements personal. Heck, he was even nice to Helen Thomas!!!
So seeing the viciousness of these self-styled "Progressives" made my blood boil.

I was struck by the light in Tony's eyes and face during his last months. He was a light to the world, a very special man, so missed now....

That’s sweet, you and your husband. I know I’m going to lose it at Mass tonight.

I did not intend to make anyone any more sad on this day. I am not able to talk much today as I am overwhelmed.

It’s hard to avoid anyway, sofa. I googled to see what was up and I could see a clip from DU and it was horrid. I didn’t bother clicking on the link.

Yes, I saw that and was thankful for the correction. Oh, I'm being so bad complaining about Fox coverage. They were home to Tony and if not for them we wouldn't know Tony. My head is splitting from crying...so I'll be optimistic and understand that most of the first stringers are most likely on vacation and enjoying their families..which Tony would approve of for sure!
Aw, Brett Behr..he is a darling :) He is crying now :(

It’s sweet to see him teary eyed, but it’s hard to stay calm today, Miss Didi.
