Michelle Obama: Spend $600 stimulus check on earrings
The Washington Times ^

Posted on 07/11/2008 7:19:27 PM PDT by Liberty 275

The same day a John McCain surrogate dismissed economic woes from a nation of "whiners," Barack Obama's wife quipped that the $600 tax stimulus check could be used for a pair of earrings.

"You're getting $600 - what can you do with that? Not to be ungrateful or anything, but maybe it pays down a bill, but it doesn't pay down every bill every month," she said.

Actually, I agree with Mistress Michelle.

Since she thinks that $600 is nothing, she and Massa Barry are obviously going to cut our taxes well beyond this paltry $600, so that we can really feel it.

Right?

Us working stiffs bought a couple tanks of gas and a pair of boots with ours. Didn't have much change left over though.

If Obama gets elected he’ll just reach into your pocket and take that money back!

And then some!

That the populace should be angry over it is fine and well enough to utterly reject her and her husband for positions of respect and leadership, but it should stop there.

According to lore, when she was about to address her people from her balcony, an aide mentioned to her that it would likely be a tough crowd, as they hadn't seen bread for weeks.

Madame, puzzled, said 'let them eat brioche', which is a small, light pastry. She had recollection of bread shortages (probably yeast-related) where the palace made brioche as a substitute.

The 'cake' was a mis-translation.

There was also a law in force that required a baker to sell cake at bread prices if he ran out of bread first.

She was hardly an unfeeling aristocrat. She and the King contributed from their own personal funds for famine relief. You won't catch any of todays Democrat royalty doing anything like that. They're all about using OUR money while they keep theirs.

Why not let Reverend Jackson make her a pair of earrings for free and use the $600 towards testicular implant surgery for Barack.

I agree, she was an egregious statistic of leftist rat media attacks.

Poor thing. But a great example of the leftist’s power in print.

Take a good thing and make it into a monster for rating$.

She should call Charlie Rangel for $600 he can get her in a rent controlled apartment in Harlem. She can use it for a Barack Hussein campaign office.

Now this is what I call a sleeper troll.

It's been almost 7 years since koda's last post in which he/she calls Limbaugh a "scumbag".

Go back under your rock now, koda.

We'll see you in another 7 years.

From the website of the Workers World Party, workers.org:

"On July 9 (1994), Workers World Party Chairperson Sam Marcy sent the following statement to Comrade Kim Jong Il, the Central Committee of the Workers Party of Korea and the State Funeral Committee of President Kim Il Sung.":

"Dear Comrade Kim Jong Il ...

The National Committee of Workers World Party extends our deepest condolences on the passing of the great leader of the Korean people, Comrade President Kim Il Sung.

Comrade Kim Il Sung devoted his whole life to the Korean people's struggle for national self-determination and the international working-class struggle for socialist emancipation. With his leadership, the Korean people defeated the Japanese colonial occupation and soon after brought about the first defeat of the U.S. imperialist military machine.

For over 40 years since the armistice, the U.S. military has continued to occupy the south of Korea with troops and nuclear weapons. This occupation has been the chief obstacle to peaceful reunification of Korea and poses the chief danger of a new war on the peninsula." ...

"Workers World Party values our close, comradely relations with the Workers Party of Korea very highly. We are proud to have known Kim Il Sung as a great leader and a comrade in the international communist movement. ...

With comradely solidarity, Sam Marcy Chairperson, Workers World Party":
http://www.workers.org/marcy/cd/sam94/1994html/s940721.htm

Here, also from the Workers World Party website (workers.org), is a direct link to the set of photos showing Ramsey Clark, Lynne Stewart and current democrat chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, Charlie Rangel, all at the Workers World Party/Troops Out Now event on March 19, 2005. The occasion marked the 2nd anniversary of the start of the Iraq war:
http://www.workers.org/march19/index2.html

For anyone who doesn't know it, the so-called "anti-war" group International A.N.S.W.E.R. was formed by leaders of the Workers World Party (and mere days after the 911 attacks). WWP is a collection of pro-North Korea Stalinists based in New York City. When A.N.S.W.E.R. was eventually outed as a communist front, WWP started up a new "peace" group called Troops Out Now. Democrat chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, Charlie Rangel, actually gives speeches at their rallies and the New York City media looks the other way -also is never confronted by Hannity or O'Reilly about it, despite his almost weekly appearances on their programs.
