Per the 11 PM Orlando news, all three were Florida men, one of them from Merritt Island.

This is great news, and in fact I talked to a senior diplomat in the Colombian Embassy today in Tokyo and congratulated him. He said they were dancing jigs over at the Embassy. I shared his happiness.

However...

WHAT IN THE HELL DOES JOHN MCCAIN HAVE TO DO WITH THIS RAID!!??

That RINO has just as much to do with it as Bob Barr, Chuck Baldwin and Barack Osama do.

Bushbot-ism has been replaced with McCainbot-ism.

Bow down and all hail the new leader, right or wrong, great or a disaster.

My thoughts.

The praise and worship started the second the party nominated this guy. Given his political track record, it's been disgusting to watch this.

wrong. (well, in a way. please hear me out):

McAmnesty has not even been offically nominated yet. not a single 2008 GOP convention delegate has cast a vote for John McCain. the secretariat of the RNC at National Headquarters has not even certified him. there has been no name placed in nomination and no first or subsequent ballot completed, a roll of the states. no gaveling of the convention to order has been made.

I am not saying McCain will NOT be the nominee. What I AM saying is, that he is NOT the Presidential Nominee yet, officially, and if we recall a few weeks back, the day he went over the target number, the RNC officially proclaimed him the nominee on their website, pushed for him and ran promotional material for him, shifted staff with his people brought in, and this was when--to my knowledge--there was still technically one other candidate in the race with delegates who had not conceded yet, Paul.

Technically, I think this was and is illegal, or at least a violation of the GOP operational neutrality rules. They should have been charged.

Back to the Cult of Worship. You are right. They have slowly but surely and erosively started this "Day in the Life of McCain" -toned cr*p on FR just as they had it for Bush for seven years, despite conservatism going down like the Titanic. It is sickening.

I wont be a party to it, and I will subvert whenever and wherever I can in the name of TRUE, TRADITIONAL CONSERVATISM.

What praise?What worship?
Are you speaking of Osbama? No?
Curiously i can only see hysterical crowds shouting oubama, oubama, but not fanaticism around McCain...

I don’t know who you are and what is your agenda but i know that the choice of McCain will only be a realistic choice of REASON....
Don’t see here any kind of worship and fanaticism! You can let it to the lunatic liberals looking for a fake messiah

I really wish you people would just shut up when McCain does something right. You and your cronies never miss a chance to knock him, and I’m really sick of it. He did a good thing. Sit down and shut up.

Hear! Hear! And Spot on!
McCain is constantly bashed on this site while Bush, the destroyer of the Republican Party, gets a consistant pass. And the one question I would have of $400 million Rush Limbaugh is why? (and I say this en lieu of the impending Guantanmo closure) when McCain gets a constant tongue lashing for advocating the same things...I mean, look at Rush's record. CFR, yeah McCain initiated it, BUT BUSH signed it and not a whimper is made on the EIB "Golden Mike." Same with immigration, Harriet Myers, Dubai Ports, North Korea, ad nauseum.
Bush, with the help of former SECDEF "Der AutoPen" Rumsfeld, stalled the Iraqi surge for four straight years without GOP criticism except from people such as McCain who knew it was the key to victory. Yet, now that it is working (with Rummy fired the day after the 06 debacle), Bush gets the credit. Again why?
McCain is also constantly criticized for "lack of coattails" but I don't know of even one Republican up for re-election who wants to be on camera next to Bush.

It is a good news because Chavez’s war in South America is failing.

Did you note the CIA and the Israeli’s mossad was involved in the preparation of this operation ?

Colombian military’s victory, although some credit should be given to whatever US troops were involved in locating them (be they Green Berets on the ground or other military personnel finding them with a satellite

The fine people you mention are the heroes of course...but there are thousands of unsung heroes working and being martyred for Christ that have led to this slowly improving liberation from the darkness and eveil of Marxism for the Colombian people.

You don’t listen to Rush. He was all over those issues. You are in a snit because Rush is not as high on yer boy as you would like. No one has any obligation to “like” Juanito.

I listen to him primarily because he is talented and entertaining and not (for the reasons you apprently do) because I want him to do my thinking for me.

But Rush is plainly a Bushbot (probably because he gets WH invites) and that makes him somewhat hypocritical in my book. I never heard one whimper of criticism over what should have been standard "conservative issues" when, early in his presidency, Bush pushed:
o Elder care
o Kennedy No Child Left Behind.
o Monetta as Transportation Secretary
o Not one veto on spending bills

And there has been scant criticism since even as Bush, sadly, has been little better than his predecessor (Clinton) and only stands a head above Carter. As a wartime Commander in Chief, he couldn't fill his "Read My Lips" old man's shoes, nor shine Truman's, FDR's, Wilson's, McKinley's, Lincoln's, Polk's, Madison's or even Nixon's (because, had he not been forced to resign, we'd have won Vietnam). He's not fit to even scrape the bottom of Ronald Reagan's shoes.

No, pal, your president is a complete failure and you can count on me to be glad on seeing the sorry "Clymer" out of office come Jan. 20th, 2010 when we welcome John McCain to the White House to do the "man's job" that the frat boy couldn't do!

Note how this story has been noticeable by its absence from Drudge all day, because it would have to mention McCain...

I agree. I am not 100% with McCain either but when he does something good, he should be supported. Thanks for your post to keep people thinking straight.

Good Lord...Don't act stupid. As soon as the GOP picked this guy to run, we're getting the same EXACT thing we got from the Bush party groupies.

It's disgusting. But hey, feel free to play stupid, and deny it's all happening, all over again....

This is really getting old....
