Louisiana governor Bobby Jindal has signed a stealth creationist bill into law, and American educational standards take a huge step backward: Science law could set tone for Jindal.
The creationist front group called the Discovery Institute is quietly crowing, and maintaining the fiction that the bill is not religiously-based.

What do you propose we tell them is the basis for spending billions of dollars of their money to build it there when there are lots of places that are more accessible and would be a lot cheaper?

I don't claim to be a "scientist". I just graduated from kindergarten, and they gave me pass on the rest. I do have a modicum of intelligence, but I won't presume to second guess those working on the problem. I will give little thought to the subject, because, "in the end it really doesn't matter."

A mass located with it’s center at 0,0,0 can still have great angular momentum, but in physics, that is not regarded as being in motion WRT other objects. (i.e. there are no gravitational elements to consider)
And that is exactly what has them in a tizzy. They have no idea how to join that family, (even though it is spelled out as plain as day in colors that they cannot see) so they try to rationalize it out of existence.

FRiend, you have yet to give any answers. You continue to pose your pet arguments of obfuscation, but fail to look through the trees. You start from a rejection of supernatural Creation, and then try to fill in blanks, with blanks. Unfortunately the blanks have no value.
I have all the answers I need. I'm not looking to replace my God, with man. You have presented nothing to persuade. All you have done is make feeble attempts to justify. I have the same type arguments from the Mormon threads. They have their own truths and doctrines. They claim they will actually become gods... which is the other end of the pendulum!

I am arguing the case against taking an ancient religious testament, written by the hand of man and subject to the limitations of the language it was written in, translated by man and subject to errors of translation and yet another set of linguistic limitations, and accepting as absolute truth whatever thought reading those words according the the meaning you ascribe to them puts into your head, and refusing to reconcile that with the testament of the creation you and that book exist in.
I do not reject supernatural creation. I reject the idea that we cannot make decisions of public policy based on the available physical evidence because it will conflict with someone's religious belifs.
Let me rephrase that to be better understood by all.
I am arguing the case against God (and those ignorant people of faith).
Your a free citizen of a self-governing nation. The responsibility of where to put that nuclear waste is yours as much as anyones. What is your answer?
