Nader is an idiot. Obama trying to speak "ghetto style" would turn black voters off. This is the MSM way of saying, "Obama has a street side.... he just talks white to get ahead..... but he's actually more like Will Smith and not like this guy":
Well, sorry folks...... Obama is "Carlton", NOT "The Fresh Prince".
You left out Mika.
Having watched his entire comment it is clear that they have been edited to make the point against him.
Obama is clearly ignoring the plight of the poorest people in the poorest communities. He just doesn’t want to seem like the ‘black’ candidate.
Nader is right but the MSM will tear his head off before they’ll allow him a half second of credibility.
Nader was speaking about black inner city issues, not black ghetto talk.
Maybe that's the way they greet someone where he's from but
you're running for the position of President of the United States son.
She's his Achilles heal.
I recall on one videos of him and Jeremiah Wright, where Obama is saying, “Where he at?”, trying to get Wright to stand for recognition.
At least he wasn’t saying “Where da white wimmin at?”
;^)
I don’t think Obama is trying to “sound white” to avoid sounding like Jesse Jackson; however, if he had looked like Al Sharpton and sounded like Jesse Jackson, he would NEVER have gotten any farther than either of those guys have. Since Obama is just as racist and manipulative as either Jesse or Al and at least as left wing as other Democrats, the reason for his popularity has to lie in the differences. The left-wingism makes no difference to folks who, politically, are not astute. Appearances, however, do make a lot of difference to this class of people. To know this, just ask yourself the question: Would they buy a package of underwear featuring a picture of Barack or a picture of Al Sharpton modeling it?
It IS kind of interesting that Obama would not be entitled to reparations were that ever to happen. His mother’s family, of course, is white, and his father’s from Africa; none of Barry’s ancestors were ever slaves in the USA.
Nader didn’t mean HOW Obama spoke. He was addressing WHAT OBAMA said.
Nader was criticizing Obama for taking the white man’s positions, for being no different than Republicans (remember, to Nader, there was no real difference between Republicans and Democrats, which is why he ran as an independent).
Sorry, I read that and assumed they were talking about how, and what...... either way Nader is wrong for one reason:
Obama's populist message is identical to most so called "leaders" of the black community.
The racist aspect of Nader's comments come when he places race above nationality. Many black people don't want to admit this, but they're Americans before they're black.
And Obama's message matches this idea of individual identity being paramount above being an American first. Nader's just too dumb to see that.
Me too. This is probably the only subject on which I've ever agreed with Nadar. He's been wrong every time beginning with his comments on the Corvair.
Not so. I just reread the article. There is the semblance of how Obama might choose to “communicate” in re inner-city issues. The article in question, as well as the statement, concerns the dialectics of Obama’s communication with others.
