There might be other motives behind the Obama candidacy, were he not a true American citizen.

I made the following post in another forum and my suspicions are in bold:

I agree that the birth certificate looks like a forgery. But, I'm also mystified as to why anyone in the Obama campaign, including Obama, would allow the question to float around so long and with so many discussions. For that reason, I can't believe that Obama or his campaign would try to pull such a big scam on the American people by running an unqualified candidate for president.

But, perhaps they're testing the waters and the constitution by running someone who wasn't born American? Some people, a few years ago, also suggested that the constitutional requirement about having to be born American, should have been bypassed to run the newest media darling at that time, namely, Arnold Whatshisnagger. Perhaps that's Obama's expectations this time around. And, since he's the nominee for the democrats this year, he might present a new argument stating that the people that selected him as nominee should not be disenfranchised just because he's not American born. Never mind that he might have misrepresented himself all the time that he was running for president.

But, I'm still skeptical about the whole thing. I can't believe that anybody, even the Marxist Obama, would try to pull the wool over the entire U.S. population.

I can easily believe he would do it, all it would take is arrogance and he has more than enough of that. I think he is a very deceitful man, and if he is elected President this country is in for very tough times ahead.

It is simply a piece of paper not valid for any legal standing unless there is a seal and signature stating it is a verified copy.

because it is NOT a birth certificate. It is a paper that says that such a certificate exists for the names and date denoted. Worrying about this paper is really time wasted.

But, why even keep the issue alive if there is real birth certificate that proves Obama to be an American citizen? Do you believe it’s just to distract his “enemies” from other issues. His enemies are capable ot attacking him from many different directions, including the birth certificate questions.

So, why even allow the questions to continue if he can just produce a real copy of the certificate?

And to answer your impertinent question- no, I’m not protecting Obama, I’m trying to get some perspective on this whole birth certificate mess.

Whether or not he does or doesn’t have a baptism certificate proves nothing. I expect you’d find members of the Third Reich could provide baptism certificates.

I think the idea that he was not born in Hawaii is weird, a waste of time for people to worry about it, and a cause of titillation in the Obama camp by whoever is maintaining the website where this paper is posted.

I don’t think anyone has to show a birth certificate to the public at large.

Now Kerry’s military records, his DD-214 is another story, because he was campaigning on his record, which his ‘swift boat’ mates took issue with. He should have definitely been forthcoming with them.
