(NaturalNews) A Rhode Island school district has announced a pilot program to monitor student movements by means of radio frequency identification (RFID) chips implanted in their schoolbags.
That's next.
I hope the kids rebel by sticking each chip to the side of a different four-wheeler leaving town.
Or mail them to LA.
Or just swap backpacks.
What a pompous asshole thing to say. You should apologize but I know from your post that you aren't man enough.
Some of you homeschoolers make me sick. Do you homeschool to keep the teachers from seeing the bruises?
30 seconds in the microwave
You’re more right than you know. Have you seen some of the new schools they’ve built recently?? They do look exactly like prisons, imo.
LOL! Great post.
I have two teens in high school (now, 11th and 12th grades, public high school) and two in Catholic (5th and 7th).
We’ve been doing the whole college thing lately for the senior, so now we’re focused on getting through all that ;) In the process of planning a *college visit* for July and trying to make a mini vacation out of it. Kid’s first choice is Penn State (my husband and I are alums) so trying to make a vacation out of the visit this summer.
Ya’ll aren’t going to turn what’s only my 3rd thread posting into a free-for-all over homeschooling, are you?? Is this the kind of example of rudeness you set for your kids? Gees. :~( I’d hoped to post threads that were thought provoking, not argument provoking!
I wish they were (sorta). My two youngest lose everything, backpacks included!
Yep. That was a nasty post.
Have I told you lately that you rock? :)
I agree it can and could well become a slippery slope and get out of control. I made by post just for food for thought that in certain cases it just may help some individuals.
Revelation Chapter 13
16He also forced everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead, 17so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name.
I don’t care how many threads you have posted.
Sometimes a jerk has to be called out.
You rock too, Twink!
Kids!
All we could do is switch names if we had a substitute teacher. With the rights kids this could be fun.
"Sometimes a jerk has to be called out."
Jerk. Wear your sign proudly.
1984 was supposed to be a work of fiction, not a how to manual.
Oh, give me a frakkin' break. You know nothing about me or what kind of relationship I have with my kids. You just felt this sudden urge to be a jackass I guess because someone disagreed with your point of view. That's exactly why I said I didn't want to hear from you.
Thanks to those who respected my wishes. I wasn't attempting to hijack the thread or have it devolve into a flame war. I was simply expressing my point of view and pending relief.
I don’t take advice from n00bies.
You better grow a thicker skin or you won’t last around here. However I couldn’t care less if you do or don’t.
Eaker was replying to a nasty post in the thread. A post that slammed another poster out of the blue so to speak. I don’t consider that *rude* but rather, honorable. As for rudeness and example-setting for one’s children, Eaker’s kids are blessed to have him for a Dad.
Isn’t it also rude to bring one’s children or parenting into a post that has nothing to do with said poster’s children or parenting?
Your thread was/is thought provoking. It’s the first I heard of this and it’s interesting to me.
