GOP presidential candidate John McCain is inviting his Democratic rival, Barack Obama, to participate in a joint town hall at an open-borders advocacy groups upcoming meeting in California.
There is a meeting in California of La Raza, McCain told reporters at an Arlington press conference Monday. Both of us have accepted invitations. I say that we have a town hall meeting together in front of La Raza. I think that the people will be far more informed and in some ways, entertained if we had that format.

I like Rush okay.....I am more of a Levin guy though.
Oh, that's right. (Sean Hannity, that you?)
I think the people can be heard at the state level. They’re not being heard at the moment. WHat are you gong to do, force the oil companies to drill? You raise any federal restrictions on drilling on private land and let the private sector take over. Let the states sell the oil to whomever. Putting American oil on the free market will drop the price quickly. The federal govt has no business stopping free enterprise. There is plenty of oil and coal in this country and off shore to hast a hundred years.
“With his promises on the SC nominees, he managed to cut the last remaining thread of support I had for him.”
Did I miss something? Last I heard he said he would appoint strict constructionists. Has he flip-flopped on that, as well?

If you think the same won’t happen under McCain, you don’t know reality.
Or CONSERVATIVES! That might be fun!
AM I wrong? ANWR is not on federal land? If so, the Alaskans have no say in it. If it is state land, then the Alaskans should decide. PERIOD.
True, but it’s a start...

McCain is against drilling in ANWR.
And ask them to do what? Other than talking to people about supporting down ticket even if they won't vote for McCain, there is little I would do for McGov... err, McCain.
I think MCcAIN considers Conservatives a hate group.
I don’t see where he’s against drilling anywhere else. He says leave it up to the states to decide on this. Federal land is different.
I would add to those groups the labor union leaders who want to increase membership; the Catholic church to boost church attendance; ethnic groups like La Raza that want more political power and leverage; the ACLU, which wants to destroy this country, and the Chamber of Commerce that wants a cheap, inexhaustible supply of cheap labor.
I’m writing in my cats. One less vote for Obama!!!! WOO HOO!! I am so smart. S-M-R-T ...
“True, but its a start...”
No it really is not. States like Florida and California will just refuse to drill, and your candidate would then say “Oh well, I tried” and NOTHING gets done.
LOL, naw....I forgot the sarcasm tag.
What did he promise them? I missed that, but unfortunately it doesn’t surprise me.

Wishing doesn’t make it so.
Your train is off the track
