too bad none of the witnesses had a firearm. although shooting was too good for this puke.

The police didn't have a choice. I feel sad for the little boy's death. No adult should ever lay his hands like that on a child.

Being the San Francisco area, not many there are allowed to be armed. Isn't it awful that it nearly always takes a gun to stop criminals like this guy--and how law-abiding people (usually the first line of defense) aren't allowed to be armed.
Had a armed citizen been on the scene, chances are good that the poor child would be alive right now.

"He refuses to comply with the orders and the officer fires," Singh said, "resulting in the death of the suspect." *sniff* I love happy endings.

Good grief, didn't any of the passers by have a tire iron or a jack handle in their trunk?? Guy was likely either severely mentally ill or on meth.

The 27-year-old suspect died immediately where he fell. It's a shame he wasn't gut shot serious enough to bleed out before medical help could come. And in a whole bunch of pain. May there be a special place in Hell for that mutt.

DU`ers are condemning the police officer and are suggesting the guy who killed the baby is an Iraq veteran.

The suspect had tunnel vision?
I’d say he had pure evil vision.
May God rest the bambinos soul.
Can someone explain to their best knowledge the biblical meaning of God is going to lift the Holy Spirit from this world?
My question is: Will the Holy Spirit leave over time or all at once?
This man who felt so much hate to kill a child will have some splainin’ to do when shown the door to eternal hell he better hope Gods forgiving love is on his side now.

I hope this vermin's eternal torment in hell is to be viciously beaten to death by someone ten times his size, only to come back to life to get beaten to death all over again.

I’m sure many are glad that there were no weapons, “as it only would have added to the numbers dead from this matter.”
Idiots.

On Sunday, deputies tried to establish the relationship between the 27-year-old man and the boy, who appeared to be between 1 and 2 years old, according to the Stanislaus County coroner’s office. Coroner’s deputies believe they know the boy’s identity, but “due to the severity of his injuries making a visual identification is nearly impossible,” Singh said. “That in itself tells of the brutality of this attack.”
Police hope to contact family members today, Singh said, but it appears many live out of the area.
“We’re trying to contact family members,” he said. “Some of the key questions we’re trying to answer is why this happened? What was going on before the suspect left? Where was he going? Where had he been? What was going on in his life that day?”
Investigators weren’t releasing the suspect’s identity pending notification of family.
