So, you're implying independents and moderates aren't patriotic? Reagan appealed to both with patriotism and the promise of a return to greatness as well as conservative populism.
I didn't say anything about patriotism. I merely stated McCain's decisions (i.e. the way he is running this campaign) is an appeal to moderates, which is where his support has always been.
I myself am Independent, though I registered GOP to vote in the primaries. However, I'm not a moderate. I was hoping for Thompson, but by the time the primary reached my state, I had only Romney to vote for.
