An excellent documentary video telling the story of the British loss of firearms rights, and how the subjects there are protesting that loss and the misguided policies that led to it. Click the source link to go to the YouTube video.

TOPICS: Crime/Corruption; Culture/Society; Government; United Kingdom
KEYWORDS: banglist
In particular, there are some great statements towards the end from the British subjects.

Subjects was the correct word. I’ll bet ole’ Prince Charles (or any of the other “royalty”) did not give up one handgun when the ban was passed.

Great video!

One of the first folks to speak is Edward Fox. He is an actor and among other roles, has been the Jackel, was in Force 10 from Navarone, and “M” in Never Say Never.

The guy’s been in a bunch of favorite movies!

A lot of ‘economy with the truth’ here:

Fox hunting does not involve guns in any way.

There have been armed police in Britian since, well, since there has been a police force.

Tony Martin did not ‘defend himself’ - he shot his victim in the back as he ran away and left him to bleed to death in the garden. If the burglar had been advancing on him or even facing him he would probably have got off on a self defence plea - He might have even got off if he (Martin) had telephoned the emergency services after the shooting instead of going to the pub and boasting about the ‘gippo’ he had killed. (Despite what you might read on the Daily Mail website, Britain DOES have a concept of self-defence and does not penalise people for defending themselves as long as they use reasonable force).

A frightening view of what might happen here in America if we stand by and let our 2nd Amendment rights get trampled.
