Star Trek trivia: George Takei, aka Sulu, did a movie with John Wayne that was filmed in Asia. The weather was so bad that the production was delayed for months. As a result, Takei was late for filming of the second season of Star Trek. As a result of that, several scripts had to be rewritten to include the new character Ensign Checkov, played by Walter Koenig, who had just joined the cast.

I kid, that’s my favorite series out of the whole lot of ‘em. Interesting bit of trivia though! Never knew it.
